Thanks for the updates. I was wondering why Holloway was sent down. Now it makes sense. I would love to hear your analytical thoughts (last 17 games) on how you think the Oilers would fare when they shoot for seventeen against Vegas in Vegas. I would hate to see the Golden Knights rip their hearts out again. I hate them enough already.
Since you mentioned an upgrade on the right side defense I know I might be called out, ridiculed, mocked & scoffed at suggesting Matt Dumba as a rental pickup at the trade deadline. He's on a expiring contract so a ufa this summer. I admit i'm biased towards him because he is a ex Red Deer Rebel who played with RNH. I realize that his foot speed is not once as it was & his offensive output isn't what it used to be. Yet he is still one of the most physical & better open ice hitters and old school hip checkers left in the game imo. His hitting prowess is still evident & literally quite often changes the ebb & flow of any game that he is able to land a big hit. I've seen how two of his hits do this especially on Nathan McKinnon (one from this year) where in one case McKinnon challenged him to a fight. That's another thing he doesn't back down or turtle when challenged afterwards to answer for his hits. Imo he is exactly what Oilers could use another veteran depth defender with a versatile game.
Honestly…we should give cambell a chance. Look at Skinner's turn around! obviously not during this streak but once the streak is over i see no harm in bringing him up

Well my first suggestion flopped so how about the Oilers revisit a CBJ trade for either Adam Boqvist or Andrew Peeke? I just heard young prospect 20yr old David Jiricek wants a trade from there as well lately. I might have mentioned in the past Jalen Chatfield a rhd 27 yr old soon to be ufa from Carolina.
If Campbell continues like this, maybe we can trade him for a bad but useful contract, lets face it a somewhat overpaid 2nd pair right shot D turns useless money 💰 into a positive. The other thing right now Campbell is the cheapest in terms of assets goalie on the market.
