  1. The case for sit v.s. Play depends largely on the supporting cast and coaching. Soooo many 1st round QBs are called busts when they get drafted to bad teams, without a good coach. Love can be used as an argument for sitting a young guy behind a veteran, but it needs to be the right veteran. You can start some rookies if they show they can handle it. CJ Stroud is not the rule, he is the exception to the rule. He came into a team with some underrated talent and has top notch coaching to put him in good positions. Most QBs donā€™t show what CJ has until years 6 and 7, not as rookies.

  2. Yes they should wait a year. Just look at the packers for the last 25 years there's the answer. Unless it's like a caleb number 1 type and u have coaching and a O line let em wait 15 games..it won't hurt them

  3. Being honest, Bryce Young is still unknown. U don't know if he will be a good quarterback or not, because he's been running for his life behind that BS OL ever since he got drafted

  4. Most qb should sit. But coaching is the most important thing even for Pat. Its a lot of bad coaching in the league

  5. Let the Love vs Stroud date begin! Greenbay obviously knows what they are doing with QBs, so sitting your QB for 3 years seem to work out. CJ is a special guy with a special coach….we won the lottery in Houston šŸ¤˜šŸ¤˜šŸ»šŸ¤˜šŸ¼šŸ¤˜šŸ½šŸ¤˜šŸ¾šŸ¤˜šŸæ, but Green Bay has a recipe with 11 herbs and spices šŸ˜‚. This is beautiful

  6. The Bears take makes no sense because if Justin Fields is able to put it together then heā€™ll be better than Caleb Williams. Williams is good and has potential, but I really donā€™t see the ā€œgenerationalā€ label yā€™all keep throwing around. He canā€™t do anything that Fields canā€™t and pretty much has the same weaknesses.

Also, why would Fields want to continue playing for the team if he knew they were just trying to trade him? It sounds weird, but he really has nothing to prove, we all see the obvious talent thatā€™s being squandered. Heā€™s statistically considered one of the worst QBs in the league and yet still has ppl lining up to trade for him, he really doesnā€™t have to participate if he doesnā€™t want to.

If the Bears do draft Williams tho I completely agree that he should sit for a season, Iā€™m tired of them throwing their QBs to the wolves.

  7. If Caleb William is such a great prospect why wouldnā€™t you want him to play. CJ did it no problem. Are you saying Caleb is not going to be close to CJ Stroud so you want him to sit out a year?

  8. Itā€™s funny cause no Ohio State fan is surprised by stroud. Heā€™s the definition of scout the player not the helmet

  9. They only mentioned guys Like Mahomes and J Love for guys who wasnā€™t starters Week 1, but Watson didnā€™t start, Herbert didnā€™t start, Lamar didnā€™t start, Baker Mayfield didnā€™t start, (now they all played their rook year, but most of them was due to injuries or awful QB play. So yeah it isnā€™t crazy for teams to sit 1st round pick Qbs a year (OR THAT BE THE INTIAL PLAN)

  10. This helps the overwhelming majority of players develop. People forget that it used to be normal for even high draft pick QBs to sit behind a seasoned vet for a few seasons before seeing the field (unless they're already pretty old). Very few guys can come into the league "ready to go" and ball out while they're also really young. People like Lamar Jackson (21yr old as a starter) are the exception and even he had some games behind Flacco.

  11. TF this clown mean by "bums"? This the same idiot that talked down on the organization, telling black coaching candidates they need not apply for a job with the Texans, the same BS stephen a myth was saying. Str8 šŸ¤”

  12. The only person that I heard say CJ Stroud was the better pick than Young was Frank Reich and that poor fellow was fired because Carolina took Young. Itā€™s funny as h*ll but Iā€™m not laughing.šŸ˜®šŸ˜®

  13. That yards per game/TD-Int ratio combo stat is insane. And there's another crazy stat Stroud put up earlier this season, he went 3 straight games with 200 something AIR yards per game (can't find the exact number but it was 200 plus) and that air yards number Pat Mahomes has only hit 3 times in his whole damn career, Burrow has only done it once or twice, and there's a couple great QBs who have never done it. And Stroud did it 3 straight damn games, in the middle of his f'n rookie season. Special special talent.

  14. No you go get Marvin Harrison. Thatā€™s crazy . Unless you trade Fields. You need to pick Marvin Harrison. Thatā€™s a true generational talent. He can run every route already.

  15. How can you call a team a bunch of Bums, that went 10-7 with a rookie HC and QB. These two are so bad itā€™s unbelievable

  16. When you need to build a team, going QB crazy is to your detriment. Itā€™s like throwing away draft capital. Caleb is a one read QB. Electric arm. Quick feet. Yes, he could be Pat Mahomes. However, Pat had a team with QB. We are still building. You are trying to replace one of the NFL most explosive talents. For an unknown. I think your lack of respect for Justin, comes from not watching his games. Check out how much he has to do, in order to make stupid plays work. He has to deny multiple sacks on most plays. Give a guy like that time, he can light up a defense. Iā€™m shocked to of the most intelligent men in sports talk have no love for the only guy that can do what Mr Jackson does, but he is faster. If you donā€™t like Justin, itā€™s because you are swallowing the narrative.

  17. The half tick comes from a šŸ’©y offensive line. If your follow through has your throwing hand landing on helmets and edge rushers, you need to create more space. Iā€™m done. If you donā€™t like Justin, it says something about you. Too lazy to watch the F ing tape

  18. There are a number of factors one being the team that's drafting the quarter back. How fast can the quarter back retain the knowledge be given to him. The teams culture is the head coach on the way out, and is there a supporting cast to support him if they are forced to play him. An lastly is ownership willing to be patient and let that quarterback grow and get better

  19. The reason QB are forced to play early now is because of the money. If you wait until year 2,3,4 by the time they are ready to go now you have to tear the team down because you have to pay your QB. Love with Green Bay took a very team friendly extension which is very rare.
