Got chills listening to Frank talk about it. That song will always represent Canucks excitement for me.
I'd like to say this Canucks team is better than 2011. But in 2011 that team had top PP and Top PK. They also were in the playoffs majority of the 2000's. We don't know what this team is about yet.
Would love to see a return of "Where the Streets Have No Name" for players skating out onto the ice in the playoffs. It's was just electric when it happened. I used to hate it when the West Coast Express Canucks would try to win the game in the last few minutes, after mailing it in for most of the game, because they also lost a bunch of games pulling that stunt. Hopefully, they don't have another Kessel moment when the pick teams this year. I would love to have Tanev back on the Canucks. He's a guy who brings it every night.
Horvat was clearly one of the biggest problems
i feel we are a denseman and a center away from winning it all. chris tanev endured so much for us for so long, i hope we find a way to get him back, although i don't his age and his injury history
Quinn Hughes could win the Hart and lose the Norris. He is clearly the most important player on one of the league’s best teams, but I think Makar is still (marginally) better than he is.
I was at all game 1's in the 2011 playoffs. The streets have no name intro was absolutely electric!! I hope that these players get to experience it!
I understand the nostalgic feelings surrounding 'where the streets have no name' but that song, in regards to the Canucks, should be retired for good (imo). The music quotient…yes…is very good. The lyrics attached to it however, are possibly some of the worst you could have as your get up, get going, pump up jam, momentum builder. Besides, the street does have a name and it's Griffiths Way, which has huge revelance and value in Canucks history.
There are far better songs, that are not being used around the league, to use as your intro.

Shouldn’t compare this team to the 2011 team. That group was at its peak. This one hasn’t had the playoff experience.
