Let’s talk about Matvei Michkov and Connor Bedard once again, as the two quote-unquote generational NHL prospects from the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

We’re referencing them today because of a few updates going on with their situations as prospects.

For Michkov, the guy is legitimately posting up the best U17 MHL numbers since Nikita Kucherov, and is on pace to beating his goal record for U17 players. This is all the more incredible when you realize Michkov was three weeks away from being a U16 player.

As for Bedard, well, the first ever WHL Exceptional Status player and 1st overall pick at the WHL Bantam Draft is heading to Sweden to suit up for the HV71’s junior hockey team in practice, before the WHL comes back to play in December.

  1. Matvei michkov I have watch all his 6 mhl game he was just average at 15 he not that good he look like the next caufield
Shane at 15 year old 66pts in 59 game that very Matvei michkov is not the next great all star

  2. Was literally just looking at this stuff and then tabbed over to YouTube and saw your video

  3. If hes born in december 2004, how tf if he "almost not qualified for this draft" Laf is an october 2001 birthday and Byfield is an august 2002 birthday and are both going in the same draft

  4. Shane wright is generational. Everyone else? Perhaps a future hhof/all stars but difficult to call generational this early

  5. Is it just me or are there just so many amazing young prospects who are breaking records left right and centre eligible for the 2022 and 2023 drafts? Wright, Lambert, Savoie, Bedard and Michkov are all looking so good already and I just can't wait to see which NHL team gets them.

  6. Connor Bedard didn’t play his whole entire life at West Van Academy, he went there in his 1st year bantam, I played against him in my 2nd year bantam while he was a Bantam underage he played for North Van minor and “I made him ice the puck” lol

  7. Neither one of these kids are generational talents, stop throwing around that term like its on sale.

  8. That was/is a great rivalry ( croby, ovi one) !! This might me as grest of a rivalry, we could only hope they both go to the same divsion so they can battle it out !! 👍👍
