The amount of people spamming online saying he isn’t worth a 1st or an equivalent to it is pretty shocking. I can’t tell if they really believe it or they think that it might influence the GM’s in some way.
Don’t agree with them at all monahan playing way better than any player in that area 1st and more worth it
If the Habs get a 2nd for Monahan, that’s a failure. I know we already got a 1st for him. He’s worth another 1st I genuinely don’t understand how you guys can sit there & say he isn’t. There’s risk trading for any player. If you’re a contending team you was to trade for a player who’s producing in all aspects which is what Monahan is doing. He’s been one of the best forwards on the trade bait list.

Most team on the bubble will be neither sellers nor buyers. If Hughes doesnt get a 1st pick or a grade A prospect for Monahan its a failure
Monahan has a great value because of his contract. Although Lindholm is a better player, not every team can absord his contract.
What I hope is that the Habs find a package to get back a prospect forward with top6/firt line upside, with size.

Mtl has lots of draft picks capital, young prospects, roster players or cap space to offer at the deadline. I’m looking forward to see Hugues make himself look like a genius again soon
It's not about the future for Sean Monahan it's about how he can 34:42 help your team reach the next level in the playoffs. His contract will fit into teams caps. Last they weren't aware that the cap is going up however this year they know the csp is goling up. There's no way Monahan is going for less than a first. Hughes promissed to trade him to a contending team so a decond round is almost a third rou nd pick so common get serious.
Ghule is one of most competitive guy on the team. It's funny you often hear him yell the f word when making a mistake. Smarts, smooth skating and puck handling. Can play with anyone on any side too. Amazing core piece to build with. Just wish he was a little bigger but it's not a problem if he doesn't commit to taking dangerous hits for puck wins like he used to do often.
Players that are useful in all scenarios the key to deep team. Suzuki/RHP/Plekanec/Lekhonen/Paccioretty/Markov type players. Hopefully Dach too.
Sean Monahan and therepy day until March 8 sounds a good idea.
Do you think the Habs will buyout Gallagher in the offseason? Due to he is a declining asset…. being sat in the 3rd period because of the penalties he takes, and Alzner's buyout is off the books after this season.
