I just read it as a bit lost in translation, being bilingual is hard. But if not it is a bit concerning that he just compared a teenage girls temper tantrums to one of the future pillars of our franchise.

If I were a top draft pick in an organization and the coach invoked his teenaged daughter to convey why I’m not playing in the NHL, I would certainly have some thoughts about that.
What the fuck is he doing comparing a guaranteed stud defenseman to his 13 year old daughter? Why does this franchise continue to make the worst choice possible in deciding who is at the top?

Man I’m pascal out. Team looks uninspired, and when they do they seem to look good, the game plan changes the next game.
Stop playing the vets so much. These aren’t going to be the veterans leading the youth.
And lastly, play the fucking kids. Why not play jiricek? Are provorov and Severaon and peeke really that much of an upside in a lost season?

I definitely don’t like the comparison or wording, a little disrespectful.
But I agree with the sentiment that a player’s development plan should not be in the hands of the player, it’s coaching and management. The ones that are supposed to have NHL knowledge and know the path.
And Jiri can be as vocal as he wants to I’m ok with it, he has fire.

No wonder we play like we do if Pascal thinks he should use a 13 year old girl as a comparison point for NHL readiness
The difference here, Pascal, is you have a player whom is a grown adult that the Blue Jackets should try to KEEP if they want any improvement in their defense in the foreseeable future. Make a decision and stick with it.

Here’s the problem: you want a future cornerstone to play 14 minutes a night in meaningless games vs 22 minutes a night in the AHL on a playoff team? The way he worded it to the media was stupid, but the message is correct: Jiricek is better suited in the AHL gobbling minutes on a competitive team than playing 14 minutes (or less) a night on this team.

Wasn’t this posted last night or the other day or something?
Either way he went from a sympathetic character who was put in a bad spot, to a villain with this comment for me.

If it’s true he was told to get a place here because they plan on keeping him here, then it just shows what a clueless organization we have

Definitely seems like a bilingual thing but yeah, sentiment is spot on.
Sucks for Jiri has an individual for sure. He’s better than Peeke and Bean no doubt. But we’re trying to get rid of them, they have to play and he’s the only exempt defenseman.

All but confirmed Jiricek is requesting a trade lmao

can your 13 year old daughter block shots?

Christ. We have a “coach” who is comparing the franchises ~best D prospect to a 13 year old girl who wants a car. Am I reading this right? And you people STILL defend this idiot. LOL I don’t know what’s more pathetic at this point, his coaching or the people defending PV
