Hot or Not: Should Leafs be buyers at the deadline?

TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado joins SportsCentre to share if he’s ‘Hot or Not’ on some NHL statements, including if back-to-back wins over the Jets proves the Maple Leafs should be buyers at the trade deadline and whether or not the Oilers will keep their win streak going and set the new NHL record.

  1. Leafs should do nothing and hold on to what they have going. Look how bad it turned out for them getting rid of Hyman lmao. As an oilers fan i gotta say thank you leafs!!!

  2. I think the Toronto Maple Leafs should trade one of their higher price talent for a good young defenceman

  3. Do not trade Niemela, Minten or Cowen. If you can get a 3c upgrade and or someone else to play with Rielly at a reasonable cost with term (can be a 1st pick) then sure. Go all in on rentals and top prospects going back the other way is a hard no for me.

  4. They shouldn't trade any picks or prospects….trade bertuzzi, domi, gio, samsonov and take those returns and get a dman and 1 forward…then make a couple call ups and giver

  5. 9 days off is tough to recover from. Anaheim is their next opponent? Will Anaheim play a game after their break before they play the Oilers? If so, Edmonton will probably lose to the Ducks. If Anaheim doesn't play a game before they play Edmonton, then there is every reason to believe the Oilers can keep the streak going.
