The Brawl That Literally Changed This Man’s Career

Two-time WHA MVP and Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup winner Marc Tardif is the forgotten star of the 1970s. The WHA’s all-time leading goal scorer and an NHL All Star, Tardif’s magnificent career is certified Hall of Fame worthy.

By the end of the 1975-76, Tardif was the best LW in the game.

But Tardif’s career nearly came to a premature end in April 1976 after a violent and senseless attack left him bloodied and severely injured. Eventually, Tardif battled back from the physical pain, managed his emotional trauma and go on to realize his greatest career achievements.

When his playing days ended, the Quebec Nordiques retired his #8 and he’d enjoy great success off the ice. But the nightmares of that horrifying night in 1976 persisted.

In order to erase those haunting memories and achieve true peace of mind, Marc Tardif would need to come face to face with the man who nearly ruined his life.

  1. Why besides learning how to pronounce English names or French names and the difference between the two, cant your narrator, journalist??, Maybe comment upon his possibility of getting in the hockey Hall of Fame has he ever been on the list as he received votes, try letting somebody else who cares to do the job right do the narration and just be a better journalist

  2. If you want more followers…Do better research to have better name pronounciation, this made my ears bleed…To answer your question, yes Tardif should be in the NHL Hall Of Fame…

  3. This voice is much better than the last one. The names are pronounced correctly at least. Perhaps a little more emotion wouldn't hurt as if the voice artist was emotionally committed himself but all in all def better I don't wanna just stop watching now like before

  4. Your voiceover guy was Anglicizing many French names, but I see that out of many anglophones. (Anaheim’s announcers in the mid 90s were the worst when I was living out there.)

I’m a Red Wings fan, and our announcers are better than most.

  5. For the mist part you either have to be extremely talented, a ksycho oath ir have a screw lose to play North America professional hockey even though it's better than it used to be.

  6. Lol Michael Goulet and Michael Bergeron 😂 should suspend this acct for the mispronounced names of 2 French Canadians 🤔🤪

  7. Saw him play in Spfld.,Ma,when he played for the Nova Scotia team, even though he was on the other team,I had to give him props for being so good….
