  1. The teams currently in playoff spots are separating from the rest of the pack. Weā€™ve seen flashes of greatness from this team but theyā€™re gonna have to play like every game is a must-win. They need an 8-9 game win streak. For confidence and points. Time is slipping away

  2. I believe sam poulin could help the bottom six and he's inhouse and cheap. why is harkins still in the line up? I think he's fine as a 13th forward but come on, if we aren't taking carter out of the line up then some one has to sit and let some fresh blood circulate in the line up.
I'm also for pusti on the second line. He and his style is more noticeable when he is with skilled players and less grinding. We have the players but i don't think they are necessarily being used correctly. White is not a 2nd line player. He fine as a bottom six grinder.
Some of this is on player performance but the coaches shouldn't be exempt from blame. Half of a year in the books and now we are starting to play with the pp1?

  3. Until we get a coaching change we can expect much of the same with this core. The message is stale. Sully is a great coach but even great coaches have a best before date.

  4. In this second half of the season this team needs results. Results matter and points. Priority for this team is to get results consistently.

  5. As an old man it's the age of the players. Plus the supporting cast isn't even average. Empty cupboards in the minors. The smart thing to do is send Sidney and cast away for picks. Was a nice run.

  6. Trade Smith to Arizona for Zucker, he may have been injured, but at least he was productive when he wasn't. Smith was productive for about a week

  7. I read a rumour that would send winger Reilly Smith, prospect Emil Pieniniemi, and a 2026 1st round pick to Calgaryā€¦in exchange for the Flames 2025 5th round pick, and centre Elias Lindholm (say hello to the wing Gino)

The dilemma for KD is whether or not he wants to develop Emil or not.

A trade like this would certainly signify that the Pens are not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

  8. Karlsson needs to be able to run his own PP unit. Heā€™s used to being THE man on a team of scrubs. The first unit has too many superstars that need the puck, and it just leads to pass after pass. The new configuration will pay off post break if Sully unplugs his blender for a bit.
