  1. We're talking about trading Zadorov now?!?! Demko can't be expected to steal 16 wins to get a Cup, we need a solid group of D in front on him and the media want the Canucks to start stripping that now. Who cares if they don't sign him in the off season, this is what happens when your team has enough depth to get up in the standings, sometimes you have rental players which you may lose after the playoffs when they're really needed.

  2. This is actually my fault. I clicked on this video… I have a choice and I can choose to not watch any of this crap gossip reporting.

  3. Craig was spot on about Zadorov. Even if you do trade him you're just going to go out and get ANOTHER player JUST LIKE Zadorov anyways.

  4. Trade Andrei Kuzmenko Ilya Mikheyev and as many picks as they require for Bo Horvat. Trade for Chris Tanev with a 1st and a 2nd Pick), Move Zadorov or Myers Up to the wing (don't show that card till game 1) and rock 7 defense men for the playoffs. Management make them selves look like cap wizards in the process. That's going all in with style.

  5. The other problems Brock Boeser had the last couple seasons, was partly conditioning and partly playing on a bad team with some good players. When Boudreau came in they went on a winning streak because he changed how they played to compensate for a bad blueline and forced to overplay Demko because the backup wasn't good enough. The next training camp started with all the player/coaching facilities (gym, lockers, medical, offices, etc) closed due to renovations and the team was decimated by injuries before the regular started. There were some not very good trades for stopgap players that didn't make the team any better. Boudreau also didn't have the same assistant coaches from the previous season that got things done. It felt like management were building a moat around their coach, instead of giving him what he needed to succeed.

That season the goaltenders couldn't stop a beach ball (until Demko came back late in the season from injury) and that completely exposed the weak defence and lack of quality depth players in the roster (almost no penalty killers). Defence were constantly playing both the shot and the pass, and doing a garbage job at both while opening up lots of seams, because they had no confidence in their goalie stopping the puck. If the puck seems to go in every time there's a turnover or defensive breakdown, slower players like Brock who don't have a perfect 200' game show up like a lighthouse.

This season, you have a rebuilt defence and lots of quality depth players (almost an excess of penalty killers), a backup who can win games, and players buying in and being held more accountable defensively on a team that's built to actually play defensively. That gives a sniper like Brock the freedom to be a goal scorer. This season is like night and day compared to recent ones, with lots of good moves to improve the team, a coach management doesn't hate because he's their guy, a talented assortment of assistant coaches and staff, and great results in the standings.

  7. Tbh I wouldn't trade zadorov but I wouldn't resign him either. Juulsen has earned his spot and we have good deffence prospects. I think thr canucks have to choose between zadorov and Cole to resign

  8. You don’t trade big Z right now. He’s big, mean, hits hard and sticks up for his teammate at the drop of his gloves(see what I did there?😅) He’s a fan favorite and the type of player you need in the playoffs.

If you gotta trade someone, you gotta get what you can for Myers, even with his improved season. He’s also UFA, he’s big, not so mean, gets a penalty everytime he hits hard and probably wishes he stuck up for his teammates more.

No matter what happens, I’m excited to see how the rest of the season and the playoffs go.
