As a Lightning fan I will admit that Paquette can be a little butt head at times, but watch as Mrazek sees him coming and steps further out from the net and in the way of Paquette. The overhead cam not showed here shows it very well. Think about it before throwing F-bombs at me.
Mrazek is still in the paint. That is a real chicken-$hite move and a penalty all day long. You can see Paquette lift the leg. Justin A dealt the appropriate action.
Thats what you have to do, stand up for your goalie. Mrazek is the game changer in this series so the Bolts will be trying to take liberties on him so they dont get upset by a lower seeded team. That is why teams need enforcers.
Mrazek did step out a little further but i see goalies do that all the time to forecheckers and it never ends like this. Paquette had no reason to do that
If you look at 0:09 you can see Paquette's stick in the middle of the crease. IN THE FUCKING MIDDLE OF IT. Now, can he legally have his stick there if he's skating by? Yeah, as long as it's not interfering with the goalie when the puck isn't involved. However the goalie has the right to move about the crease and he's not obligated to stay back in his net just because a player is going to skate right through it. Mrazek wasn't looking to get tripped, he was I'm sure looking to establish his presence in the crease so that Paquette or any other opposing jackoff doesn't skate through it. Goalies treat their crease like their girlfriend they've been together for two months…it's kinda serious and you better stay the fuck away.

I fucking hate goalies who dive. Including Bishop.
Way to conveniently put your foot there Mrazek. He was looking for that one.
Gotta side with the Lightning. Even though I want Detroit to win, The goalie kinda stepped a little to far. Looked more like accidental contact.

Nice job, Tampa. i'm no Lightning fan, but anything and everything is legal against Detroit.
That was worse than subban
