  1. As for Mr Jiricek, both Mateychuk and Svozil, although left shooting defensemen, also bring their own rewards to Columbus/Cleveland. lets not forget, Svozil was the key scoring defenseman behind Bedard in Regina, especially come playoffs. As for Mr Mateychuk, he is also having a very nice season in MJ.

  2. The starting goalie for Canada for me is Aiden Hill. This year – 12-2-2 1.98 GAA. .936 save percentage. Stanley cup champ last year. No panic in pressure situations. Binnington – 17-12-2, 2.98 GAA. .907 save percentage Stanley cup champion 5 years ago. I like Hill.

  3. Generally the only league worse for inconsistency is the NFL. This year, the NHL has that title by a mile. Absolutely brutal. Make your officials available and stop hiding behind your mistakes.

  4. I don't agree with your thoughts on the Tavares call. I blame the ref. If you watch the camera from behind the net, that slash was an overhead slash from 7 ft in the air. That's a slash everytime, whether it breaks the stick or not. You can't overhand slash a guy

  5. Mr Friedman, regarding (injured) Sens, if Sens highest draftable prospect is Tyler Boucher, and currently he has 5 points in 16 games, what are you planning to give away to pull in 'excellent' mature quality player?

Sens just went 0 for 10 on the road on 2 road trips, you're mentioning playoffs Really??Mr Friedman hasn't had his coffee yet.

My guess, Mr Staios continues the re-build process, they've only got 1 more year or so, left on Giroux's contract, he's 36. Keep scouting Sens, keep deepening your resources, your division competitors are (Buff's, Detroit, etc…) and they have the likes of Benson, etc I mention Benson because that was the first round pick given to Arizona in exchange for Chychrun… Arizona took But, and not Mr Benson although he played with Arizona's prospect Geekie.

What do you think the value of Chychrun is, if Chychrun had to be traded and he could play more than 68 games?

  6. Friedman gets more upset about a slashing penalty than a legit goal being disallowed. Weird focus my man.

  7. The truth is Nylander WAS in the blue paint .
This is why the goal was disallowed. He should not have been in the blue paint !
That was the official statement !
    Mike.

  8. Not just get the call right. There are rules to reviews. Because Cole did do a hit in the numbers that should have been a penalty. So to remove that is weird.

But second let’s say I challenge a play for goalie interference but the ref instead looks at an offside on the play.

Or let’s say they miss a boarding from 5 minutes earlier in a shift and then there’s a trip and they go back and review and give the earlier guy a penalty instead of the guy who tripped.

The rule was made to look at your call and decide if the infraction you are calling is a 2-4 or 5 minute major not to look at a whole different infraction.

  9. Freedman sound like a a s s he doesn't know what he talking about never seen player lean on stick and breaking it been watching for 40 years give example video I searched and can't find any if happens a lot like he says where is the proff he talking out his a s s more times he speaks more a can't stand him

  10. Elliot being OK with rules being made up on the fly at a time when gambling has become rampant is a slippery slope he chooses not to see. And that is the most inconsequential circumstance to arise out of such short sighted takes on authority. It being of far greater consequence to allow a changing and living law. It means it can be easily manipulated. And the ease with which you were assuaged by the NHL, gaslit even speaks volumes to your role in hockey Elliot. By allowing things we've never seen before affect the game through subjective analysis we no longer have respect for reality. What happened with the Toronto game and the Vancouver game more so was a total affront to the spirit in which the game is supposed to be played. Slowing down to frame by frame and allowing the personal biases and perversions of authority to change the game. And on a larger level, how our society is supposed to operate. Sports very much a microcosm of society. I for one didn't see reason to assess a penalty to anyone on the play. This isn't tiddley-winks and you'll never get blood out of hockey.

Elliott, when we allow the rules not to actually matter then what do we need a rule book for? It may be your worst take ever and really shows to a larger reason as to why so many put a needle in their arms in 2021 simply because an authority with an obvious an open vested interest told us to. Still today people generally are far from understanding that Albert Bourla, the CEO and chairman of Pfizer, is only an accredited veterinarian who rose to his position because he created a very effective "chemical castration vaccine" to control pig populations, called Improvac. And people still hate their family and relatives for NOT taking it, calling them conspiracy theorists and everything else the TV tells them to. Our elected officials taking a backseat to the scientific expert just like on the ice now. A sociological refereeing.

  11. So what el Jeffe is saying is that he's seen players lean on their sticks to break them after a slash but that it's never resulted in a call.

  12. Game and league officials can call anything or nothing as they see fit. That's how outcomes can be manipulated to benefit the league agenda. Whatever is best for busines, as they say. Has worked in pro wrestling for decades, right?

  13. Elliotte normally avoids saying things that make him look like a complete idiot but his views on the slashing/stick breaking is ridiculous😂 it would basically come up to referee discretion with something like that, which is the exact thing hockey fans don’t want. They want rules where there is no room for interpretation
