Dan and Shawn cover a ton of storylines from the first few days of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, including discussions on the Minnesota Wild’s decision to start Marc-Andre Fleury instead of Filip Gustavsson in Game 2 against the Dallas Stars and what they will do with their goalies moving forward. They also talk about Alex Lyon and his impact on the Florida Panthers and some reasons why the Boston Bruins might be concerned, especially because they’re playing and could continue to play without center Patrice Bergeron. Rosen said the Los Angeles Kings should be concerned because Connor McDavid has not gone off yet for the Edmonton Oilers, limited to one assist through two games in their series. He said a monster game is coming for McDavid. But Roarke went the other way and said the Kings should be feeling great about holding McDavid to one assist through two games. They also talked about the reasons why the Carolina Hurricanes are up 2-0 on the New York Islanders. Roarke said he can’t figure out why the Toronto Maple Leafs keep shooting themselves in the foot in the playoffs and Rosen tried to calm the waters by saying their 7-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 does not have to be an indication of what’s to come in the rest of the series.
