Tanev is the perfect player, but age makes it a risky signing.
Walker is a big improvement but lacks some toughness.
Kalyiev is too 1 dimensional – he’s a poor man’s Patrik Laine. On a well structured LA team he sticks out as not fitting in within the group. Sens don’t have a lineup hole to insulate him and give him the playing spots to be successful.

Kaliyev doesn’t really fit anything I see us trying to do. Maybe he solves the PP but we’re not generating the one timer or bomb shot play that his value came from.

Brannstrom and a 3rd for Tanev with a 3-4 year extension in place.
Chychrun and Kubalik to LA for Kaliyev, Grundstrom and Roy.
Ask Tarasenko if he wants to extend for 4 years $5 million aav, If he says no, retain half and send him to whichever contender will give us an unprotected first.
Figure out wtf they want to do with Brannstrom and buyout Hamonic so his bum ass isn’t dragging us next season.

I’d love Kaliyev as a Tarasenko replacement
Walker could be a great bottom pair guy, but I’d rather go after someone like Pesce or Roy in the off-season for our 2RD

Tanev as 3rd pair RD for a couple years doesn’t sound so bad, any longer and I’d be scared to sign him.

Tanev would be a great fit, assuming he’s willing to extend here for 2-3 years or so. And his salary matches Brannstrom and kubaliks so that seems like an easy move. Brannstrom would help even out Calgary’s D-pairs since they have weegar and andersson on the right, who’s currently being pushed down to the bottom pair by Tanev.
Kaliyev I don’t get the point unless they’re trading tarasenko, and I don’t think they should trade tarasenko unless he doesn’t want to re-sign here. But if that’s the case then I guess he’d be an ok swing for a replacement.
I don’t think walker fits what they need nearly as well as Tanev personally.
