good add but I hope it’s not for too much!!! I kinda hope we can do more than just Lindholm tbh

Wow, there is it. This seems like a trade to rebuild the 2nd line because Mik and Kuz aren’t cutting it. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they give Suter more opportunity since Tocchet loves him.

    Suter – Lindholm – Pettersson

Poor Quinn. We’re poaching everyone from the Flames except for his bestie Tanev

  4. nite_awol

good luck in calgary Jett Woo, Klimovich and Kuz 😏

Another edition of the Vancouver Flames and Calgary Canucks. Incestuous!

SEVEN CANUCKS GOING TO THE ALLSTAR BREAK LES GOOOO

  7. I think he would fit perfectly with Tocchets system and it gives us a lot of different potential second line combinations if they decide to stick with Lotto or split them. I’m only worried about how much we’re giving up for him. I hope it’s not any of Högs, Lekk or Willander.

  8. I hope we don’t over pay. He’s essentially going to be a rental right?

Lindholm makes sense as a swiss army knife top-6 player, and coming off a down year production wise is probably a bit of a “buy low” candidate for a rental.

    What I would be offering:
    – Kuzmenko
    – 2024 1st (Ideally Conditional, otherwise 2025 2nd)
    – Abby Prospect outside of your top-5. Someone like Klimovich, Woo, etc

Similar to what Bo got, but lower pick, lower prospect, better player.

That said, part of me expects Chef Allvin to have it 1-1.

If we’re going out and getting Lindholm, we better not be getting rid of top prospects or Hoglander. It would be incredibly stupid to get rid of Kuzmenko *and* his expected replacement in Hoglander on the second line. I mean who would even go on the second line anymore? Lafferty?

Plus, with all of our RFAs and UFAs, we need his cheap contract.

  11. Last year, we traded away Horvat (one of our All Star representatives) before the All Star game. This year, we trade for Lindholm (the Flames All Star representative) before the All Star game. Just for the memes, if this trade goes down, I hope it’s done before this weekend and we can have 6 All Stars at the game.

  12. Wonder if it’s a package along with Tanev – could use a third team to make the money work. Last year the cost for Minnesota to retain 50% on Orlov ($2.5M) was a 5th, so not a crazy price

  13. AccomplishedAd4995

i hope höglander is not a part of the trade

The Swedish chef is COOKING BABY!!!!!

  15. coltonjeffs

Calgary is like: fuck Edmonton, let’s give Canucks all our guys!

  16. Lindholm and Tanev at 41% retained are $5.52m… kuzy makes 5.5m… just saying.

  17. smcfarlane

    Don’t care the cost…

1st Kuz and Hog or whatever. Just get it done. Immediately makes our second line strong as well as second PP.

  18. twizzjewink

Myers + Kuz for Tanev and Lindholm?

    Throw some dice at it.

  19. Are we really about to have 7 All-Stars this weekend??

  20. helixflush

Looks like I have to retire my Kuzmenko RR2.0. It’s okay though, it cant be in the graveyard right next to my Horvat RR1.0

  21. Wonder if our 1st round woud be included for a UFA player

  22. awayfromcanuck

Kuzy, a first and a Player is the rumour from the Flames subreddit.

How would people feel if it’s Kuzy, a 1st and Pod? Personally I think Pod steps into the lineup next year or even down the stretch and I’d be sad to see him go.

  23. No way it involves Hoglander and his cheap, controllable rookie contract.

Lindholm is a 9 goal scoring UFA so it should involve a mid-level prospect and a 2nd.

  24. PetterssonsNeck

Why do people say to give Kuzmenko, a 40 goal scorer, as well as a 1st rd pick for him?

EL’s play has been mediocre since Monahan, Tkachuk, and Gaudreau left.
I know Allvin has a hard-on for Swedes but a projected 50-point scorer is not worth a younger 40-goal scorer (one season removed) and a first round pick. The EA NHL GM mode might tell you otherwise, but it’s time for a reality check y’all. Kuzzy has way more value than yall realize given his age and his potential.

  25. Euthyphroswager

Zadorov for Lindholm. No takesies backsies.

  26. Better not be Hoglander on the block for a rental. Allvin will lose a lot of his good will. He’s found a spot on this team.
