This team really needs a (reliable) goalie, Stu is on a hot streak but that can come crashing down when there is a really Hungary playoff team like the Canucks or Jets pounding on him with.
I would still try to trade JC for EM from Columbus, they both need fresh starts. You are not going anywhere in the playoffs without top goaltending depth. If you have to sweeten the deal for Columbus – dew it. Win now mode baby.
Fleury would be great cause of his experience & leadership; he would also give Stu some much needed rest before the playoffs. Realistically though it’d be hard to fit his $3.5M while also upgrading the blueline & forward group. If they can make the cap work then I’m all for it but trying to upgrade the blueline then adding a forward or two should come first
