Hopefully the Allstar break gives the Rangers some needed rest and a sense of urgency. With the unfortunate season ending of Chytil that gives them a little cap space to get some help, which they need. If Igor can keep it together, they should do fine.
I may be biased but Shannon always looks best in Rangers blue!

If this team can come together and Igor can get back on his level they are very dangerous. They have to get back to the hockey they were playing earlier in the season

As a fan, the team is not hungry enough. Relying on 1 line and the pp. Mika and kreids are lost. They are not playing with energy and need a better linemate. They are getting almost nothing from the bottom 6. They need speed and more jump in their steps. Of course Igor needs to step it up as well. Right now this is not a team that can win the cup.
After 30 years without a cup, I hope the NYR can really get going.
Igor seems to lose it when the team starts getting sloppy in front of him. He needs to shake that off and reset.

Who does the Scheduling. Thought all shut down for All Star bullshit. Watching Sens game. Oil have not played since Last Saturday,next game Feb 6. Also have many games in hand on almost everybody.
This version of the Rangers is like most other wanna-be cuntenders. They're yop heavy, but lack depyh scoring. Also, the key pieces are older and slower, so getting exposed by a team like the Devils last year, with younger fresher lefs after a long season is a real concern

After the all star break The Rangers will be rested, focused and, a trade or, 2 may strengthen them… L.G.R.!!! They need the killer instinct…
Kreider may not even get to 30 goals. The goals need to come from somewhere and it hasnt been the kids which has held the Rangers back the past 2 years. Rangers need need need the youth to step up and fill the scoring void. Laffy has gone cold, Kakko is on the block, and Fil is out.
Logan Couture from Sharks..don’t know his contract status..just recall he is a good finisher in necessary times..

The Rangers SHOULD be a Cup contender; the question is whether or not they REALLY want to be.

Also, on defense this season Miller, Lindgren, and Schneider have all taken steps back. Not to mention Igor has been brutal. Combine that with their lack of scoring depth and over reliance on the power play and I don’t see them making a run this year. They also don’t have enough physicality to their game. Not built for the playoffs.
