Hayes: ‘The Canucks are officially in it to win it’

OverDrive host Bryan Hayes joins Jay Onrait to discuss if acquiring Elias Lindholm makes the Canucks a true Cup contender, shares his thoughts on what the Flames got in return for Lindholm, and chats how his take from last week about Sidney Crosby needing to get out of Pittsburgh made it all the way to Pittsburgh.

  1. If we can sign him for 7×6 I would do it. It sounds crazy low, but hes a Jim Rutherford pick originally. There is history between them. JR is a 3 time champion. I'm sure Lindholm would like a cup, or a great shot for a few years.

  2. Canucks should of added Myers but I think they gave too much
They should of packaged Myers, Kuz and a First for and 4th : Linholm, Hannifin…

  3. Stanley cup or bust is a little dramatic. We did not get rid of any top prospects. Team will be absolutely fine to keep rolling next year if they don't make it deep or win it.

  4. Rutherford will go after Crosby. He just signed a 3 year extension and Crosby is only signed this year and next.

  5. Things just got real in Vancouver. The front Office making some big moves this year.
I love that they get this trade done 5 weeks before the deadline. Good Trade For Both Organizations. This yr’s playoffs are going to produce some insanely good Hockey.
    I can-can not wait.
    Lets Go Avs !!!!!!

  6. The Penguins are a failed experiment slowly circling the drain towards playoff irrelavance. Free Sidney! Find this man a cup contender Kyle! And help Pittsburgh kickstart the inevitable rebuild.

  7. Lol Canucks went from legit bedard sweepstakes contender before tocchet took over last year and now they are a legit cup contender
