Sadly this was the result I expected. Sadder still is I think he is going to have to retire, as did Brett Lindros, Jeff Beukeboom, Pat LaFontaine. Totally crappy but it happens far too often.

Hoping for the best with Chytil. I personally thought they should have shut him down earlier than when they did, but at this point Health is the top priority. I agree Evan with the Monahan trade package. No way should the Rangers give up a 1st and top prospect for a guy who has had prior injury issues himself, streaky player and power play merchant. I think there is bad blood still with Jeff Gorton and this is an insane request. Tbh, even if Rangers did get Monahan, I don't see him being the missing piece. I would stay clear if the trade package rumor is true.
Sorry to say but i think this is the last we see him in a ranger uniform again. Just hope for the best for him going forward
