Florida is a team who could win their first Cup in 2024. They’re certainly close.

TAKE THAT SUCKERS – LIGHTNING FAN
Above the islanders. With no cups. Uhhhhhhh
14th despite only getting twice past the first round in 25 years
As a Cats fan, the weaknesses right now (it's not much) are just bottom-6 scoring, and taking too many penalties.
The thumbnail is just iconic. Continue doing these awesome videos Shannon!
PANTHERS THG POWER RANKING HISTORY
Top Row: 49 times (now lowest team with 50)
2nd Row: 41 times
3rd Row: 42 times
Btm Row: 25 times
Avg: 14.67
Best: 1
Worst: 31
First: 8 Times
Last: 1 Time
Before Bill Zito was hired (september 2020), Panthers have qualified for playoffs only six times. Since then they've qualified every year and have gone deeper every year. What a difference does a competent GM ( and co- operative owner) make.
Biggest need would be an offensive minded third line winger for Lousty and Lundell. I am hoping Samoskevich reserves that spot. Even though he has not appeared on the score sheet. He does not look out of place and has shown some crafty passing.
Btw Shannon, love the thumbnail for this video š
Based on how NHL organizes standings, current playoff matchups are as follows under a 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 format:
BOS-PHI
FLA-NYR
CAR-TB
TOR-DET
VAN-STL
COL-LAK
DAL-EDM
WPG-LV
If the broadcasting networks had their way, literally only one of these matchups (TOR-DET) would exist. It's a huge difference, and that doesn't even address the reseed of Round 2 instead of locked brackets.
Whether one or the other is better is subjective, but it's definitely significantly different, mitigated by the wild cards until we get that sixth-place team that finishes better than the corresponding third-place team. š¤š»š¤š»
Tkachuk proving he was the big loss for Calgary(Gaudreau has sailed off into the sunset). At least he was man enough to allow them to recoup assets. I hope the cats win it with Luongo there. He deserves a cup.
If we can add another solid centerman like Monahan to play the 3rd line, we have a real good chance to go deep. We'd likely have to give up Samoskevich, another prospect, and a 1st rounder, but that is a trade I make. The window is closing fast, and Reinhardt likely plays for someone else with the salary he will command next year.
