  1. How bout to rangers: monohan, savard 50% retained both. To Montreal: kakko, 1st round 2024. Might need to add a pick on mtl side or something.

  2. If Kaapo is the best deal you can get for Monahan you pull the trigger. its a decent trade. But given the Lindholm trade return you can get more out of the Rangers or another team especially since they are in your conference. You may even be able to get Monahan back in the off season who knows…I trust JG to make the right call. Set your price point and sell once someone meets it. Sooner the better.

  3. Dach is not a freak accident he went full on a 6'6 D man… Should have slowed down take it easy use his brain.

  4. Kakko is a bust! Judging on what Calgary got , I sure hope that Montreal doesn’t settle for kakko, one of Brobov embarrassment 🤦‍♂ Montreal doesn’t need another maybe , trading monahan for a winger? So the habs would play with Suzuki and absolutely nothing in the system or the organization to follow him? A rebuilt without any prospects at center or up front.

  5. All star weekend is a joke enough said on man games lost COACHING the juggle the lines way to often players never get comfortable playing with each other and this makes players play different trying to learn to play with new line mates the coaching staff is Bad

  6. I DO NOT understand why people seemed so confused as to why the Habs are always one of the most injured teams. It isn't bad luck but their style of play that is mainly responsible. Now I know not every injury was the consequence of a blocked shot but the reality is that many of them are. In their own zone, whether on the PK or even 5 on 5, they just form a small box that doesn't put any pressure on the puck holder and instead prefer to let opposing players tee off on them while they're sitting ducks. And because they're usually far from the shooter, they "turtle" down and often end up getting hit in the least protected areas (side and back). Yes, Vegas also blocks tons of shots without sustaining as many injuries…but because they apply so much pressure, they get hit while close to the shooting player who usually ends up hitting them in the front where they are best protected. We need to stop glorifying shot blocking and shot blockers like Savard. Shot blocking should be a last ditch tactic after your main strategy has failed. It should NOT be your main defensive strategy.

  7. lets get it straight sazuki is the fourth best defensive center on our team!!! take the offense right out of the equation because sazuki is our best offenseman !!!! caughfield a close second…. but evans , monahan, & devorak r better then sazuki on defense.. he takes nobody out of the front of our net, he checks know one, & he absolutely never protects our goalie from getting run , nor does he stick up for them after they get run at!!!! not even a face wash!!!! stop drinking the kool aid of whats always been said by those tv analysts !!!!! watch him play defense

  8. This is a team of third-liners and reclaimation projects. Hard pass on Kakko.

I'd take my chances on a late first-round pick.

  9. When you give middle 6 u25 players top minutes and switch the line up every 2 games people are gonns get hurt! Notice how teams who keep their lines through 2+ games dont experience injuries? Not a coincidence at all. Not the first time i have said this either. Notice how our team was barley getting injured when we actually stuck the lineup? Im not telling Marty to not try new thing but clesrly to me atleast this is why.
