They *still* have 60 days to file? I thought that clock started ticking a while ago.
This is the new flavor of hockey drama that I just dont really care about.
Not exactly sure how to word this but I’d rather there be a grievance filed than Perry be allowed to be a shit person and remain on the roster.
It’s good to see the hawks doing the morally right situation after what they’ve done in the past. Even if that morally right decision wrongs a player.
Threaten…? Filing is within the NHLPA’s bag of options. And what does the NHLPA want from the Blackhawks in lieu of not filing a grievance? Money, presumably. If that’s the case, the Blackhawks might as well not pay, let them file, and see what happens.
I.. uh.. feel like the NHLPA has bigger issues to worry about right now.
Give it to the NHL to punish an organization for not being a giant boys club and covering everything up.
Gotta love that they want to punish Chicago for voiding a contract due to a breach of contract meanwhile the NHL still hasn’t done anything about both Philly potentially doping players years ago and Nichuskin still being allowed to play after he was allegedly found to have a trafficked hooker in his hotel room.
If there is one thing you can count on from a sports league it’s making absolutely sure their staff and players are being treated as badly as possible.
