Didn't like this CBJ organization, as they are the only team that can forget and forgive to hire the biggest clown in Mike Babcock knowing exactly WTF he brings! His replacement Pascal isn't any better at treating his players like his kids. Total circus down there with Johnny Hockey and Patty Laine not playing the way they are paid as well! Might as well tear it down.
Kerby Rychel was in Clb in 2014-201-15. I don't care if it's the same staff; he's irrelevant. That's like Louis LeBlanc if he were to complain about the habs years ago. Do they need to fire everyone upstairs? What do you suggest? They send another defensemen down and lose them for nothing? I guess you would; you make videos for a living, and I'd think the same way. Send him down for the break, force a trade. Even if you somewhat lose but at least get something to make the fans believe you're trying.
Well, first, it sounds like a promise was made to a player that simply can't be kept. That's a real problem. So, I think the only choices CBJ has here is (a) Keep him in the NHL and move someone else to the AHL, (b) trade the player and tryt to get something in return, or (c) he simply goes back to Europe. If I'm Jiricek, I'm hoping for a or b, but c isn't outside my realm of possibilities.
A GM absolutely can not make promises to a player about his spot on the team. That said, to me this comes off as Jiricek having a sense of entitlement. Dude's only 20 and has to pay his dues.
Trade him to Buffalo!
Get rid of him. He's a whiny kid who hasn't learned any life lessons yet. Management did the right thing in sending him down. Entitlement is never a good quality to earn, especially in the locker room.
Don't you get tired of talking about the Blue Jackets? For a team you seem to deem as irrelevant, they sure do rent a lot of free space inside your head.
