JJ PETERKA a STAR for the Buffalo Sabres?

Going to be an absolute Mega star in the NHL now I know JJ petkus had some ups and downs in his first couple Seasons with the Sabers but hey as a second round pick 34th overall in the 2020 draft no one really had too high expectations for him that all changed
When he had a breakout tournament for team Germany and then you know he came up to the sabes and showed off his talent had you know like I said a lot of ups and downs but this year we are seeing his true true potential first things first 18 goals at the time of
This recording we’re heading into the All-Star break he’s coming off backto back two goal Games first against the Kings then against against the Sharks without his efforts they the Savers probably lose both of those games so massive games for him and 18 goals that is definitely ahead of a lot of
Expectations at this point in the season 16 assists which you know could be a little bit better but again there’s been a lot of line shuffling so you got to understand that so that totals him for 34 points at this point in the season I mean the thing with JJ petka is simple
He has a wicked shot he can shoot it from any angle a lot of the times we do see JJ PKA try to get really down low you know try to get right next to the net and fit that puck in the top corner of the net over the goalie shoulders
We’ve seen it several times in you know in the miners we’ve seen it several times for team Germany and now we’re seeing it with the Buffalo Savers we’re seeing him take those highrisk you know kind of bad angle shots but you know he has the shot and has the placement to
Put the puck in the net and we’ve seen it several times so that’s one of the things with JJ PKA that I don’t think a lot of people understand a lot of lot of people say why is he wasting a shot there you know all he does is take shots
Trust me when he starts feeling himself he’s going to be hitting those tiny slivers that only I’d say Jeff Skinner can hit right now on the Sabers team we’ve seen Skinner do that a lot this year you know on the power play you know some of the few Power Play Goals he’ll
Take that in and just fit Pucks in that no one else can do JJ PKA can do that as well then we could talk about his overall playmaking right JJ petka has serious speed and you can definitely tell when he’s on that kids line with Dylan cousins and Jack when when they
Get a three on two or a line Rush which they haven’t been doing oh so well the whole team’s been doing a very poor job at rushes but last season we saw it especially they can use their speed and JJ petka has a ton of speed so when he
Gets the puck and he’s you know determined just taking that puck right down he is very dangerous my one critique with JJ PKA is still confidence right he’s still very young um and you got to understand that right he’s 22 years old um and you know his confidence
Is going to build as the seasons go on but again once he gets that confidence up he is going to be a mega star and here is why JJ petka he he has all the assets right he can pass it he has speed he has that shot like I talked about
Once he can really start handling that puck with confidence he is going to be one of the best players on this team if not you know a top player in the league I’ve seen him you know when he is at the same level as his competition you know
Age-wise tent wise he can just take over games we’ve seen it with Germany so many times we’ve seen it with the amirs when he just has that confidence to stick handle through a couple people put the puck in the you know in the in the gritty areas per se he is dominant we
Have not seen that version of JJ p in the NHL though we’ve kind of only seen the flashy version once he builds a little bit of muscle mass and kind of has that Rasmus Dalene Turtle round where he just becomes that Beast that you know isn’t scared to any1 kind of
Like a bowling ball kind of like a Nathan McKinnon almost where you know or andag where they just kind of don’t care go right into those gritty areas he can be either of these players I mean he has some serious potential and you know he’s been one of my favorite players ever
Since we drafted him but I even I did not expect from Draft Day him that already be playing at this level so it is great to see him playing along you know Jack Quinn who again I think he you know could be a top player um unfortunately he did suffer another
Injury um at the time of this recording a couple days ago so hopefully it’s not too serious ious but it did not look good but yeah I mean JJ PKA again he’s going to be due for a contract in a couple of years and I don’t know what we
Do with him because right now if he continues at this pace and next season has a monster year he might be requesting quite a lot of money and the Savers have already locked up a lot of guys for a lot of money and I did think
You know at the time of the draft we were going to have to pick between JJ PKA and Jack Quinn at one point in their career good thing we don’t have to worry about any of that right now but they’re both playing at such a high level we’ll

Just think, Peterka plays very little icetime, hardly any PP time and leads the team in goals, he has more goals than the coaches 5 favorite players combined! JJ played only 14 minutes last game, last season he would sit on the bench for entire periods while we watched absolute garbage players play more.
Peterka leads the Sabres in most times this year he hit 20mph during games, he leads the team in drawn penalties. The coach treats him like a bum, even having him on the 4th line not long ago.
During a game you hardly ever see Peterka fall on the ice, he’s a strong skater, you never see him sucking for air on the bench.
Since the team’s goal isn’t the cup why don’t we play him more and develop the youth? There is a huge difference with 14 minutes and 20 minutes. The coach said not long ago that JJ isn’t trusted in the defensive zone, oh really? He is one of the highest plus players on the team, I don’t recall seeing him pass a puck right to the other team for a goal.
The only reason he had a mini slump this year was he was playing 10 minutes with bums.
