[@NJDevils] #NEWS: Jack went home to Jersey last night after participating in Thursday’s draft and Friday’s media hits. He was extremely honored to be a part of All-Star Weekend. He’s really close to returning and wanted to get back so he could continue to focus on the rest of the Devils season.

Bratt is probably sitting there like, “Man if you were that close to returning you could have played in a non competitive 3 on 3 and just phoned it in a bit. Now I missed my vacation for this shit.”
Anyone else find this tweet weirdly phrased?
I’m trying to understand why so many are convinced that Jesper was devastated to leave Mexico (or wherever he was) for Toronto. I can’t imagine the honor one might experience to be named an All-Star in the greatest league in the world. Especially it’s such a competitive environment where some of the stars of the game don’t get selected. Who knows when / if this chance would present itself again.
