Listen, we need someone who can survive thru playoffs. I dont think monahan is the way. ELIAS LINDHOLM is better option
I don't see them moving KK, although anything is possible. He missed a chunk of the season due to injury. Upon his return to the lineup, he was definitely noticeable. Drury isn't gonna move key pieces at this point, if nothing else he will perhaps make a few small moves to bolster the future. I say this because I think he realizes that 1.) the Kane trade tied him in knots and was a bust, and 2.) this team is smoke and mirrors right now. They are a .500 team for the last 25 games, and about .500 overall. If they were a top-three team in the league, maybe he'd make a bigger splash. They are (3) points behind #3 Colorado, but Colorado's record is outstanding in the last ten games. The R's? not so much. They may make it to the second round of the playoffs.

Monahan is outperforming higher paid, younger centers with longer term.
Nothing less than a 1st.. KK should absolutely be on the table for the habs.. iif canucks want him, than Lekkermaki, if Boston wants him, Lysell. Kings, i would pffer monahan and a 2nd for quinton byfield
Wouldnt give Kakko for Monahan. Kakko still haven't reach full potential, but been strong since return from injury. I think he should have played one more season in Finland after draft. Rangers did bring him to NHL too soon.
The Habs aren’t trading for more picks unless it’s a 1st maybe a 2nd but a prospect coming with.
I like the idea of Monahan. We need to to get another right winger and possibly a defenseman as well. Let's see what Drury can pull off.
Monahan has 0 upside. A nice 30 pt retread. KK one day may prove to be a 25 goal scorer. I would give up a 2nd rd only .

Monahan would be a perfect fit assuming he stays healthy. He has one of the leagues highest faceoff percentage. He can play wing, although the Rangers should also get a #1RW, and a defensive defenseman. Something's got to change. The Rangers are too soft. I wouldn't mind a blockbuster trade/s to shake things up.

Kakko – OR – a 2nd round draft choice FOR Monahan? Dream on! Hockey media in Canada has indicated that the Canucks, Jets, Leafs and Bruins are all interested in Monahan (who has indicated that he loves playing in MTL). My guess is that Jeff Gorton isn't about to do the Rangers any favors…LOL!

I'm a Habs fan, but I live in NYC. If Monahan gets traded I would enjoy seeing him on the Rangers. But the Habs need more than Kakko, to make this work. Stuff that 2nd/3rd round pick nonsense.
Kakko 😂😂😂 if I’m giving up a 22 year old who was the consensus 2nd overall selection in the draft I’m including him in a much bigger trade for a much better player with control not a rental 😂 . In addition Monahan isn’t some missing link to the rangers 😂 we aren’t winning with him or without him, so why would I ever do that trade ? That’s madness 😂
Late first rounder aren’t worth much. The habs can’t afford to trade monahan for another pick that “might” turn into a 3rd rounder in 4 years from now, monahan value is crazy right now, he’s a beast on faceoffs, easy to coach . If the habs are gonna trade monahan it should be for a very decent prospect as monahan is affordable for any team and would make a huuuuuge difference in the playoffs.
Kakko is a bust , how many year is it gonna take for people to realize that , he’s a Brobov pick, the worst head scout in the league , Kaliyev would be better . But please no more picks , habs had 12 picks in each of their 3 drafts and already have 11 picks for 24 and judging by Brobov track record , they’re sis no way I’d trust that guy with a 7th rounder , let alone a first overall
I think it would be a mistake to give up on this kid. He has skills but, he needs to step it up. Please do not give him away for a lend-lease guy.
