  1. What if this or what if that. I get your point, and you were not saying it in a "I knew this the entire time" type of way, but Domi had 20G and 56p, and only 2 of those were scored with Dallas, so the gamble is understandable. Bertuzzi and Reaves are just unacceptable. They both had nothing going for them. I'll give Treliving the benefit of the doubt until next summer. To take over with the responsibility of signing Matthew's is just about as harsh as I've seen it for any GM. I don't blame him for not being worried about Bunting. He got rid of the Nylander signing and early and can focus on gems….pretty much right now. They arent winning this year so I'm sure people are watching the minors for cheap efficient relief. PS: I'm not a Leafs fan, thats just the way I see things

  2. Great take Lego! The Leafs are their worst enemy. Perhap, maybe, possibly, ShanaPLAN Shanahan is terrible at his job and has been a failure in his 10 years with the Francise. And what about his handpicked GM, Treliving? Did he build something great in Calgary? Did he trade and draft well? What about the contracts he authored, were they good for the Team? From my pe5ch he was abysmal BUT to milquetoasts like Gretzky and friends Treliving ud "great". And as far as ShanaPLAN was concerned, the perfect choice for Toronto. We all got a quick look see with Treliving's great acquisitions and contracts before the year began. So it shouldn't be a surprise the Team will be a major disappointment AGAIN this year. It shouldn't surprise ANYONE when (not if) Keefe gets the axed and it won't surprise me that ShanaPLAN Shanahan remains President of Hockey Operations. I give Treliving 2 more years max and he'll get fired. Players too will come and go and nothing will change. All the years with Reilly, Nylander, Mathews and Marner will have been squandered away.

  3. You didn't mention all the issues with the refs and the penalties.

He also signed for 3 years, and the leafs wanted to keep their long term cap more flexible. A lot of their contracts are off the books next year, and they're riding and dying with the core 4

  4. With the four overpaid $11Million Leaf forwards – the other Leaf players just get thrown under the bus. Most teams don’t have more than one role player – in terms of what skills players like Nylander, Ehlers or Marner offer. These type of players aren’t really build for playoff officiating. Leaf Followers and Leaf Fans have seen the expected outcomes of the Leaf core 4. At least – many wish to see Matthews get 70 goals. Bruins fans wish to face Leafs again – there is a good chance Leafs finish as a wildcard – so that fun & entertaining option might happen.😀Can the Leafs blow another 3rd period lead in a playoff elimination game again?

  5. Real reason is the team is surrounded by the overrated overpaid golden boys which whom have all losing mentality.
