Zegras shootout mastery!

Zegras showing why he’s a shootout master!

Two very similar shootout goals by Zegras.

A. Starts wide on his backhand, cuts across the ice, stays super patient, waits for the goalie to make the first move and finishes with an easy forehand side anchor.

B. Starts wide on his backhand, cuts across the ice, stays super patient, threatens to make the same forehand side anchor, but instead fakes the anchor (goalie bites) and he soft drags the other way for the finish.

In both cases he stays super relaxed and patient, waits for the goalie to make the first move and then capitalizes with his quick lateral movement!

Are you able to stay this relaxed in a shootout? Let me know below ⬇️

Can’t say I’m at that point myself but, awareness is the first step.

If you know you have to stay relaxed, then you will have an easy time doing so when the moment comes.

  1. You know those illegal moves and the whistle should have blown before the goal right?
