J.T. Miller illegal check to the head of Rasmus Dahlin – Tough Call Recommendation

Here’s the JT Miller hit on Rasmus denene denene has his head down he’s looking for the puck and he sees it and he does rotate and make himself eligible for full body contact the hit is open here the core is wide open his head isn’t down he’s in a fairly upright

Position as far as his head goes for for what he’s doing playing the puck the way he is and his head doesn’t sink down any lower than it already is the whole time it stays on the same plane there’s no material change Miller knows this he should have identified it he’s going

Stick on Puck he’s trying to squeeze the L Note everything is good until right here all he has to do is keep on his same path and just glide into the path but he shrugs his shoulder up and into the head needlessly look at his body

Right now and then look at his left shoulder all of a sudden drive up into the head he’s in a nice low posture and then at the last second he changes and shrugs up through the head and here’s probably the best angle of from the back if he stays in this

Position right here through contact there is no issue whatsoever it’s how he slightly rotates and look at the green stripe on his left arm by his waist watch it rise up as he shrugs his shoulder right there you can start to see it come up and the should goes straight through the

Head completely avoidable head contact in a situation where contact through the core was available I’d call this a non- hockey play that isn’t malicious putting it in my three to five game suspension category tough call would suspend to JT Miller of the Vancouver Canucks three games for an illegal check to the Head

J.T. Miller had a solid check available on Rasmus Dahlin through his core. Instead he chose to elevate.
