  1. Maybe he's not keeping this first-round pick .He could package it with Calgarys first next year and go for a guy like Zegras

  2. Wow talk about toxic no matter what you guys are going to complain it's a good thing you guys don't run a team you guys would have kept him and got nothing so negative it seems that's all you guys put out and the truth is you guys no nothing that is going on the deal could have been done days ago are you guys ever going to be happy or no matter what your just going to complain it dosnt give you more views makes you look toxic the main thing thing in a rebuild is draft picks and they got 2 firsts sicking

  3. You guys seem to forget that Lindholm is having a down year after a 100+ point season a year ago! Mony is NOT that player. Getting a 1st for him is fine

  4. My Theory is had we never got Monahan in the first place, we might have Bedard/Fantilli/ or Carlsson, and this summer another top 3-4 pick easy. I would rather that scenario than 2 late first rounders.

  5. Think about it like this. We hold out for a better offer at deadline. We get a few scraps more, but in the meantime Monahan helped us get an extra 4-6 pts in the standings, which ends up putting us picking 7th, instead of 5th, what is the best scenario? How much would it cost to jump from 7th to 5th?

  6. The habs are in a rebuilding phase, trading Sean Monahan now weakens the team and improves the drafting position. Keeping him for another month to get b or c level prospect make no sense . They got two ones for him. Let’s see what habs do with them.

  7. Dave I agree, they should’ve held out for, they needed the pick plus a high to mid level prospect depending on the pick if a high prospect

  8. Vigo I think the Maintenance days are easy, look at the injuries he had and the little amount of ice time and training, it will take time to build the durability and stamina back! I believe they rushed to quick into the trade, and Washington was rumoured as well! They way worse then Winnipeg
