A sane team would trade every player that has an expiring contract and unable to come to terms and has value.
He flies around like a water bug and makes nothing happen. He looks lost. Coaching problem?

I think the leafs do what they do to most players like Bert, cut off his ballz so to speak and get him into the finesse, non physical motto of the leafs.. There is no other reason for Bert to be playing and acting on the ice as he is unless he was told to tone it down. Bert is a sparkplug and I cant see him by his own choice almost become invisible and for the most part sometimes, almost useless out there.. Thats not Bert..

You nailed it Rosie – the market intimidates him. Seen it a thousand times as a musician – the band plays best in the small bar where no one cares. Very few can do their best on the big stage.
Bertuzzi is a 5th line player. He's a 1 dimensional player. I don't see anything from him that says I'm good. Weak player. Should be 4th line at best or a Marlie or trade for some new sticks or pucks

Exactly, Tyler is exactly what the Leafs need but remember all players are controlled from the top down to the coach. He is a local Sudbury kid and his heart and drive in my eyes is amazing. Domi is in the same situation but what happens behind closed doors is between them and the management team which can alter a players direction and abilities.
It’s because the core of this team from management down to Marner/Matthews is soft as baby powder and it bleeds through the whole team no matter who comes in to play for them year after year 😑

It's not Tyler's doing its keefes orders, everyone who has ever been physical and tough all seem to lose it in Toronto. It's the coaches system probably because the league never lets Toronto play that style of game without penalizing them to death. Reeves is another example of this, he is definitely better than he has appeared here in Toronto!
