The Los Angeles Kings are struggling and players are unhappy. It’s been reported this week that Arthur Kaliyev is officially on the block and is looking for a fresh start. Could this be in Toronto? Can we must together a package that could get the 2019 2nd Round pick to the Maple Leafs?

Bertuzzi for Kaliyev? Other stuff would need to be in there somewhere or maybe not, I don’t know. Cap is definitely a problem with my idea.
Kings need their 1st rounder for this year's draft. Kings need to tank at this point.

Kaliyev is lazy on D. He resists becoming progressive as a complete compete player.
Happy you started this Jesse! In your proposal LA is trading a 1st + Kaliyev just to get Greenway with some retention. Greenway is HUGE but I don't see any team throwing a 1st at him. Buffalo came out like bandits in your proposal, Leafs did quite well and LA got the super short end of the stick in my mind. Maybe same proposal but that 1st is a 2nd? And the Leafs add a 5th or so going to LA.

Yeah I'm not on board with this, considering we have a ton of forwards with offensive upside that are miscast in their bottom 6 roles. The team is too top heavy, the first two lines play too much. Management needs a core member to move on in order to bring more balance to the lineup. This front office has shown no fortitude or interest in bringing true balance.
