Overachieving presents its own kind of challenge..and perhaps the Flyers being at that place..can step back and appreciate how high above the playoff line they have been..
..and now see how the remaining third of the season turns..on each shift and each game..more than likely what got this quality bunch of guys to such stellar results..is something to do again. The reward is more wins and some postseason time. All good, guys! ✅
I figured Torts would oppose the michy attempt from Joel, but I have to say, if a player can show confidence to attempt creative plays in a relatively low danger situation, and as long as it's not frequent, I say let him go for it. I loved that from Joel because it shows me he's confident and he's willing to stick his neck out to show he's got more talent in him than people think. Part of me would hate to discipline things like that because to me I feel like you're punishing a player for making a well calculated risk which is all part of the game. Maybe I'm in the minority with that take.

Don't care what anyone says. This man can coach.
Every coach should take a page out of this interview. No bullshit and straight answers.
Love Tortorella's honestly. He is always so direct. Love him as a coach.
I'd wet my pants 😂
