   DJ Smith's time in Ottawa had run out, but good for him that he has a new position in LA. The Sens have not exactly exploded into a powerhouse since he left, so he was obviously not the main problem. Hopefully Kuznetsov can get things turned around. He's been in a downward spiral for awhile now. We sometimes tend to forget that athletes are humans, prone to the same things as the rest of us. I'm not sold on the Oilers until they upgrade their goaltending beyond Pickard.

   Re:Flyers: interesting dilemma for them. With Carter Hart suspended and a possibility his NHL career could be in jeopardy the Flyers should not be "throwing in the towel" on this season! They have had a respectable 1st half and are a potential playoff team. If I'm Briere…I'm calling Kent Hughes and checking on what it will take to get Jake Allen. Jake or another solid "G" could salvage a decent season up to this point. Otherwise…they'll fold like a cheap tent and it'll be a wasted opportunity.
   Re: Jake Allen: Kings make sense. Hurricanes make sense. Frederick Anderson is one injury/medical issue away from LTIR. Hurricanes better not be relying on him to help them make a playoff run. Avs also make sense. We'll know soon where he ends up.
   Re: Kucherov: can't resist a comment on Kucherov even if you didn't talk about him. I state up front…he's a he'll of a player. No question about his talent. As a Habs fan, though, I can't stand that chump after his terrible treatment of Habs fans after Habs lost in the Cup finals a few years back!!! BUT…his antics and poor attitude at the ALL Star weekend were an embarrassment. What a joke. Heh!!! He's laughing all the way to the bank & could care less what me or any other fan thinks of him…I get it BUT it's guys like him that really chap my frickin hide!!! Ok….I'm done with my rant…😂

   I don't know….Kakko is looking like he is a bit of a bust. With the young studs the Ducks have in the NHL now and entering soon AND with another probable top five pick this year I'm not sure how much room the Ducks have for him especially if he keeps struggling.

   Condolences to Jason Spezza regarding his brother.Ottawa needs to find a way to gain about 5 million in projected cap space.Right now they are 1.5 million or so in negative cap space.They have you many high end left shot d men.Thomas Chabot and Brannstrom,plus Lassi Thomson and Hamonic,all need to be moved for a journeyman right shot d man and a pick.Journeyman being 27 to 30 years old.They need to find a team that's low in the standings.
   The next move would be simpler.Norris to Chicago for Jason Dickinson and a pick. There is the problem of what to do with Kubalik,that could be an off season move.

   This isn't meant to be pedantic Mike, but I don't think you should say "The victim has cooperated since Day 1." in a situation like this. Saying she's a victim is exactly equivalent to saying the accused are guilty. Remember, literally this week Mike Ribeiro's sex assault charges were dismissed, as we Jake Virtanen's last year. It's not your job to say who the victim is, that's for the courts to decide. How we speak about people before its been adjudicated matters.

    At this point, if the Oilers do make a move in goal, I think they would only be looking for someone to take some of the load from Skinner. They have Rodrigue ready to dip his toes in the NHL, and they have to resign Foegele + Desharnais this year and Draisaitl + Bouchard next year, so there's no way Allen's contract fits the bill for them. It's too long and too expensive.

    I’m from London. They met these chicks at Jacks a bar downtown. Known for its dirts, why are these ladies absolved of any responsibility?? They were FULLY aware of what they’re getting into going back to the Delta Armouries hotel.
