I would be hesitant to get anything that solid black. The only solid black tattoo I have is also the only one that scarred. If you like the design, I’d say iterate on it so there’s some shading, or at least less heavy sections.

first and foremost, remember that tattoos are permanent, and be sure you want any NYR logo on you forever. secondly and perhaps more important than number 1, find a reputable shop with an artist that you can trust to get this done. then bring the idea to them and talk over things like sizing, placement, color or solid black, etc. giving an artist a little bit of freedom to fit the piece to you body or skin tone or the pieces in the tattoo is (in my opinion) always the way to go but its obviously your decision in the end

Get a jersey and go to a few games instead.

Looks like a coverup. The design is fine if that’s what you like but I’d suggest something less bold with finer lines.

Brother, getting the design and then finding a guy is a rookie mistake. Find an artist you dig, really dig! Then tell him your idea and design, you can use that as a reference, then see how he interprets it on your skin. Still unsure ask him if you can walk around with the transfer drawing for a day or two. Then pull the trigger. Not sure where to find good artists? Try Villian Arts tattoo cons.

I think it would look cool in red and blue! Saving my NYR tat for when we finally lift the cup.
