Celebrini and Bedard will play together outdoors, another former player camr forward so theyll get another 1st overall pick, book it.
People are getting worked up about Chicago getting this because of course they’re the team that gets the spotlight with the Winter Classic, but Chicago is an up and coming good team, and exciting young but historic teams are what you want to see in the game no matter what, its called a winter CLASSIC for a reason, and vgk and seattle were quite the opposite of that, which is not going to help continue to draw the attention of as many viewers. Also, the hawks get 1st overall one year and everybody goes on a rampage, but no one wants to remember when Edmonton got FOUR 1st overalls in 6 years? Teams have jumped a lot more picks to get 1st overall in the past but nobodys gonna even try to use those instances as evidence against the nhl because all they care about is that the hawks got somebody they wanted
I'm surprised that the Blues will have as many Winter Classic appearances as the Penguins. It would be really cool to see the new teams play, but no one wants to watch TNT' NHL coverage over college football.
To all the butthurt fans of loser teams who think the draft lottery was rigged, you can literally go watch the entire lottery process with all the reps and lawyers in the room. Edmonton got four first round picks in five years and I never heard a word from any of you about anything being "rigged." Dry your tears and go get a diaper change.
the nhl prolly wouldnt let a whole city feel ashamed of their team after that horrible story came out- especially not an original 6 team. the yotes can suck but they dont have a story like the one that lost Chicago their coach and tarnished their 3 cups. its alot of game theory but thats why its so unfair= the nhl ultimately needs you to get over those real life moments and crimes to make money- so if anything could hemorrhage audience needs to be fixed.

This makes 0 sense. If youre gonna put a rebuilding tean like the Blackhawks into the winter classic then atleast do like Toronto and Ottawa or Boston and Montreal. Those two would be x1000000 times better.

This has nothing to do with the draft lottery. Also, the 2023 draft lottery was not rigged for the Chicago Blackhawks. If you believe that, then you also have to believe that the NHL rigged 4 drafts for the Edmonton Oilers.
I think it’s funny when people get all upset and say that the league is handing the hawks these amazing players. They were the third worst team in the league last year and are historically bad and the worst in the league this year. They are awful, that’s why they are getting these high picks and really good players
It turns me the wrong way when Ottawa loses a first round pick for the trade shenanigans, Arizona loses 2 picks for the player testing, and Chicago loses nothing after a grape coverup. Should’ve lost a minimum of 3 first rounders, they should’ve never gotten bedard. Favouritism at its finest.
People conveniently forget that before the Chicago Blackhawks got Toews and Kane on their team, they had about 10 years worth of trash rosters. Do people remember when their best players were people like Tyler Arnason Mark Bell Kyle Calder Eric Daze Tony Amonte Steve Sullivan Michael Nylander? GEEZ The Blackhawks finally build their roster the right way, and then get lucky with Kane and Toews and win 3 cups and people think that Chicago has always been dominant? Thats laughable.

The NHL added lottery rules that state a team can not win it more than twice in a 5 year span. If it’s rigged wouldn’t it make more sense to make sure Chicago doesn’t win the lottery in 2024 or 2025? Instead have them win it in 2026 and unite bedard with Mckenna?
