Vladimir Tarasenko has switched agents for the second time in seven months, now repped by Craig Oster of Newport Sports. There’s obviously work to be done ahead of the March 8 trade deadline with the pending UFA winger likely getting dealt by Ottawa. He’s got a full NTC.

I know this was one of the trades people were sad to see Vladi leave STL, but Doug made the right decision. Got assets from the rangers, and since leaving Vladi obviously hasn’t gotten the value in the open market he thinks he’s worth.

  2. Definitely was the right trade at the time. Vlad the Impaler will always be a legendary Blue, but he wasn’t putting up numbers in his final season with us. Army def made the right call there.

He’s still good, putting up 33 points in 45 games. He’d be 4th on our team

I’m sure he’ll waive his NTC to go to a playoff team. Could see Florida since they can make cap room pretty easily, could also see Toronto cashing it all in for the cup out of desperation. That’s purely as a rental though. If it’s a sign and trade that opens a few doors and closes some others. No way there would be a sign and trade to Toronto lol.
