nhl already owns the team and is running a fraud an AZ will sue when things are said and done and clean up
SLC would be ok but change their names of course. no more deep south teams
had a feeling this would come to the coyotes….the failed new stadium building plan and constant ownership problems not getting money in to support the franchise nor keeping it arizona. Selling is the only option at this point whether they relocate or not its up to whoever will buy them
Move to Quebec and be done with it .
Salt Lake Mormons.
So sad this subject bothers me never a hint of Quebec City ever makes me wanna puke .
Salt Lake City, has so many plusses. One being the proximity to Arizona. They could relocate pretty quickly, withput having to move halfway across the country. In addition, geographically, they can remain in the same division, and have some EPIC rivalries, especially with the Avalanche. Plus having an ownership group that is extremely stable, and having the land ready to build the new hocjey only arena.
I have been watching hockey my whole life. I remember being confused when the NHL went to the desert.
And that was followed by fiasco after fiasco after fiasco. On and off the ice the Coyotes have been a mess forever
I respect the players for their performance in that area…. But the NHL should have relocated that franchise a decade ago
Salt lake wants an expansion, let them have it and bring the team to Qc
Ah Auston Matthews
– Born in California
– Played amateur hockey in Arizona and Michigan
– Played professional hockey in Switzerland and Canada
Screams Arizona hahahaha
As someone who watched the Thrashers leave (and I can tell you a lot about that whole thing, and it had nothing to do with the fans or the market), my heart aches for the fans of the Coyotes — especially if it turns out the team really is done in the high desert. The Coyotes have had a history of escaping from reckoning over the years, so maybe they can do it again?
Weekes is very connected with NHL sources. He knew what team was getting Bedard before the NHL did…
Why don't the NHL focus on their own expansion of interest and connections, rather than relying solely on landing a team on every corner… All other sports have done it, NBA, NFL, EPL etc – all have international interest.
So…. why doesn't each NHL team have a brother city that they play 1-3 games per season at… Ie, Oilers in Saskatoon, Colorado in Salt Lake City, Dallas in Houston, St Louis in Kansas, Seattle in Portland, Montreal in Quebec City, Ottawa in Halifax, Columbus in Cincinatti etc.
Quebec city would be the best option
