  1. Trade Savard to Edmonton for a 1st

    Win/Win for both teams

He’s a perfect fit there and Holland needs to go all in. Habs would need to eat his salary this season more than likely to make the cap work for Edm and Mailloux can replace his minutes next year.

  2. If we get a 1st for Savard that means we got 3 1sts and a maybe 3rd for future considerations and signing a free agent. So nothing for a package that can equal something big.

  3. I trust Mr. Hughes and Mr. Gorton with regards to Savard.

If an offer came up which was too good for them to turn down, I believe that the HABS might move him IMO.

However that offer would have to be very good indeed and with a cherry on top! 😉

  4. It's that or you let go of some of the younger ones .

We will lose a bunch of the young defence if they get sent down to laval.

  5. Are you guys really warching the D..lol..your kidding..Savard is wayy better then your saying and gule having a bad couple of months????hes playing grwar hockey

  6. IMO there's too many defensive prospects developing much faster than anticipated.. While I think Matheson and Savard are great for peer to peer development, when you got a log jam like this and are out of contention it's time to dump the vets and play the rookies.. These kids have been playing the game since they were in pampers.. they have Coaches.. they watch tape, a Vet is nice but it's not some necessity when you are not in contention. Love em but Dump em.

  7. Guys he's coming, don't get to excited, he scored a couple goals, but I agree to get a power forward, they bring alot more than points! On a small team a real power forward changes the dynamic of a team, all the players will grow two inches, throw in a couple grinders and they won't think small. Did anyone see Caufield take runs at people in the corners, Slav is not a fighter but as a defenseman if u see him coming u r getting rid of the puck sooner!

  8. they can get a 1st rd pick for Savard next year, getting 1 this year is not substantial. If they need him to develop others, wait and you will still get the same.

  9. I remember you 2 being so disappointed thinking he was a bust
Don't hear you talking about Shane Who? And Logan Cooley

  10. Not sure why people are surprised Savard is worth a first, he was in 2021, and thats before getting that stanley cup experience and getting top pair minutes in montreal, so he was worth 1 first and a third 3 years ago and his value sure as hell hasn't gone down

  11. With Slavs, a hockey analytics guy I used to know (RIP), said that a prospect usually have their breakout season in year 4. So he’s on track.

  12. If there is even a whisper of a first round pick for Savard and Hughes doesn’t make that trade would be inexcusable decision…

  13. …as nice another first rounder would be, it is also good to keep a few veterans on the roster to help bring up young players. Too many rookies, and I don't care how good they are, they will struggle/suffer without some good veterans to help show them the ropes…

  14. r u guys nuts nobody is gonna give more then a Hersey bar for savard . hughes is coo coo if he doesn't give him away…

  15. His progression is coming along fine in my opinion.
On a side note what has this team needed for years and years now?? A big forward who can score, play big, create space for other players and be a general problem for other teams night in and night out. Sure seems like we have that with Slaf.

  16. Les canadien ont hutson, mailloux, bogdan, engstrom plus 2 première round et 2 deuxième round si sont pas capable d'aller quelque chose avec ça sont incompétents
