  1. It's funny because Iafrate actually had 1 empty net goal in his NHL career.
I had to look it up and he scored his empty netter in 1991-92, his eighth season, playing for the Capitals.

The game was against the San Jose Sharks (who played their first season in the NHL) on Feb 18th. Iafrate scored on the empty net with 35 seconds remaining (assisted by Dale Hunter and Kelly Miller), the goal meant 4-2 to the Caps which was the final score so he didn't get the GWG (John Druce got the GWG).

Goalies were Jim Hrivnak for WSH and Arturs Irbe for SJS.
Odgers and Kypreos had a fight in the third period.

  2. Leave it to Berube to be a class act about Kyrou. Too bad Kyrou couldn’t have handled it the same way after Craig’s firing.

  3. Chief is an awesome coach. He’ll take another team on a cup run. It’s too bad Kyrou and a few other pansies got him fired. All Blues fans know Army, Krug, Kyrou, should have been the first to go whether they want to admit it or not.
