I don't think it matters if you get first overall or second overall in the next draft because you will be getting someone special. It might be like the 2004 draft with Ovechkin and Malkin going one and two.

I believe McDavid still might be better than Eichel. It is a fact that Canada has produced more, and way better, players than the US. The best US born player to ever play is pretty much Mike Modano but there are a lot of Canadian players who are better than Modano. Could Eichel be better than Modano? Absolutely. But it is more likely for McDavid to be a generational player in the future.

But 2016 is gonna have Sean Day and i think he's gonna be one of the best defencemen ever mark my words.
Sean day is nothing compared to luke green he was drafted first overall this year in the qmjhl as a defence from Nova Scotia jsut like mackinnon and crosby and is gonna be in the 2016 nhl draft look him up on YouTube

McDavid is in Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr company. Saw him play livestream tonight and he got 4 points without even trying. When the game was on the line and his team was down with a minute left he turned it into another gear and was absolutely Gretzky like. Scored the tying goal then created 3 more blistering chances before the end of regulation that could/should have won it for Erie. Set up the winner in overtime. One OHL coach called him the best player on the planet. In the NHL he will separate himself like Gretzky/Lemieux/Orr did.
Being quick and shifty can only get you so far but being a strong powerful center will open a lot of eyes

eichel got more swag but McD is still my main man, canadians are just so friendly and humble… make them seem weaker than they are. Mcdavid's talking about expressions reminds me of jonathan toews, who i thought he might be mentally weak for the nhl… how wrong was i. but when i saw ovechkin, p kane and subban, their swag just tells u that they are gonna be big.
Defense is going to be great in this draft too. Kylington, Hanifil, Meloche, Pilon and Dunn to name a few future dman stars. Also the 3rd best center in this draft Barzal would be the top center in most drafts.
I'm excited to see both of these young men.

I see Jack Eichel potentially being the next Ryan Getzlaf. A little smaller and without the playmaking ability, but they both have the size to shield the puck and both of them contain hard shots. And we all know what McDavids being compared to…
As a Sabres Fan, I would rather take McDavid because it seems like a safer pick for me. I haven't seen a lot of Eichel yet to convince me he's the better choice…

McDavid will no doubt go 1st overall, at least in my opinion, but I think Eichel will have a much better career.

One thing that I noticed with Eichel is his ability to out play a whole line, he skated through 4 Russians and had an amazing chance.
I would love for the Devils to get McDavid. We missed out on getting Lemieux back in the 80s, we deserve to get the 1st pick for once.
I would choice jack eichel mainly because it's grit and physical play that wins you championships it's hard to pass on big centers like him. mcdavid most definitely has the more raw natural talent but in the long haul jack eichel is the best pick.

In my opinion I would compare Eichel to Patrice Bergereon. Eichel will probably take some years to develope fully but when he does he will be hard to stop. Mcdavid will most likely be great off the bat if he dosen't go to Edmonton because they've done a terrible job developing players. In terms of who goes first overall, it is about which team gets the first pick. If you look at a team like Arizona which is struggling with offense, they would most likely get Mcdavid. If a team like the Sabres got first pick they would probably go for Eichel because they need a player they can build around. I'm american and you can see that each player has a diffrent trait that will be helpful to them. Eichel's a great skater which makes him tricky to cover, but Mcdavid has the hands that makes him tricky to cover. They both have a diffrent type of skill set that will both make them succesful in the game today.

NCAA hockey is laughable compared to Canadian junior hockey.Its not even close,soft hockey with half the games as CHL hockey.
Scott O your wrong,if the NCAA champions played the Memorial Cup champions in a series,the CHL team will crush the NCAA team.That's obvious and that's why NCAA players don't make the NHL to often.For every one American players there are twenty-five to thirty Canadian players who make the NHL.Facts are facts!
Also the reason why NCAA players get picked up by NHL teams is because they do not get drafted and get signed on cheap contracts that don't hurt teams caps.

Hey Scott O,that NCAA game you were talking about sucked.NCAA champions play what could amount to a seven game series in THE FIRST ROUND of the CHL playoffs.You have to win a min of 16 games to win a CHL title.Then play the champions of the other leagues in the memorial cup.NCAA fucking wimps.

NCAA teams are not conditioned to play the amount of games that are played in the CHL.Why can't you just except that CHL teams are just better then NCAA teams.NHL teams understand this as to why they pay way more attention to The CHL!!!!!
