John Shannon on how Canucks stack up against the Golden Knights & Oilers, deadline buyers & sellers

Former Hockey Night in Canada Executive Producer John Shannon stops by to highlight Elias Lindholm’s strong debut with the Canucks. We ask John how the Canucks stack up against Edmonton and Vegas after the Golden Knights snapped the Oilers’ 16-game winning streak, what teams will be buyers and sellers at the deadline, what’s next for the Arizona Coyotes, and the future of streaming sports.

  1. The Flames are not in 1rst in the pacific cause they don't have Hughes, Demko, Pettersson, Miller or Hronik let's not act like Zadorov or Lindholm are the key to this success WTF is Shannon even talking about?

  2. I dont buy into the oilers at all. I think when vancouver plays them again, if they arent brought down to earth by then, the canucks depth and firepower will expose oilers defense and goalie again. Mcdavid and drais might get some points but overall the canucks defense and goalie will keep everyone else off the score board.
I cant bring myself to buy into the oilers even after that win streak because they obviously are capable of playing like absolute shit, and its a mental thing, along with a mediocre depth, defense and goaltending. Once they get thumped really bad again, its all down hill. Id rather put my faith in the consistently good teams like vancouver that have been great all season.
