Brodie left Calgary and was really good in Toronto. Treliving comes to Toronto and Brody struggles. Are we sure that this collection of individuals can suddenly form when it appears Treliving has not won people to his story.
Canucks-Canes and Oilers-Golden Knights were games filled with lots of intelligent, hardworking elite play. Toronto is nowhere near that level. Their fistful of "well-paid" high end talent does not represent a team near the top.
Why can't we try for a few games playing PP Unit 2 for the first 50 sec of every powerplay before bringing out the big guns and see how it goes – when they have less time, I think they will fool around less. Also, the team was alright defensively when Benoit and Lagesson were both in the line up, did they want to play Liljegren to showcase him for a trade?

If the Caps back Ovi chasing this damn record, above all else… it WILL ruin the Capitals for years to come. Just saying 🤷 For me Ovi is already the best goal scoring machine in hockey… EVER.
Every generation of Leafs fans has that one player who defines the team. For my grandkids it's Matthews…for my kids it was Wendell…for me it was Salming. That means it has been 3 generations since we have had a star defenceman!
