Kuzy injected a lot of hope for the Flames. Start of a wagon?

  2. Overclocked11

Teams have bad games. Weve been running so hot for so long a game like this was inevitable.

Would we all have preferred it be against the canes with a bounce back versus the Bruins? Of course.
    But oh well.

Shrug it off – on to the next one!

  3. Third line, especially Garland, the only ones who showed up. Garland deserves to get rewarded with more points but his line has been so unlucky the past 5 games with finishing.

I really want to see some new lines for next game. I’m pretty sure the top 6 5v5 stats have been getting worse each game.

  4. if it’s any consolation, games against the east don’t really matter. division matchups are more important. save the wins for them. move on

  5. I’m sure everyone was amped for this game, I was. The plot has thickened, things are interesting. What now? That’s why the game is great. Buck up campers, I’m sure the boys will.

canucks seem to always flop in these marquee match ups like vs leafs on hnic.  they need stronger mentals in these big ticket games — that’s basically what every playoff game is gonna be.

  7. ProtoMan3

Objectively, one bad game is not something to worry about, especially since I trust Tocchet to whip the boys into shape over a game like this.

Emotionally, this ruins my day. It’s always the Bruins that do this shit to me…

  8. ZackyGood

Guys. It’s all part of the plan.

Swayman gets his hug. Tires are pumped.
Losing in an embarrassing fashion at their arena will cause them to underestimate us.

We’ll get them in game 32. I guarantee it!

What is it with the best Canucks teams ever losing to the Bruins 4-0?

  10. One-Management3649

That wasn’t just disappointing as a Canucks fan, that was disappointing as a hockey fan. That should’ve been a great game and they played their worst game of the season, by a mile.

  11. TheHeyHeyMan

I’m making spaghetti sauce for the weekend now to cheer myself up. This was a difficult game to watch, even with the “you can’t win em all!” mentality; so it goes. I’m nervous about the early start on Saturday.

  12. Mikeywestside

So I was at the game against Vegas game where we lost 4-1. The silver lining is that I no longer went to the worst game of the season!

  13. Time-Dot5984

Holy fuck, I am glad I didn’t watch this game

  14. TheRealMrCC

It might be just me, but I’m noticing Petey and Brock play like shit when JT plays mad. I dunno. I’m probably wrong. Miller is a great player, but I find myself thinking he really needs a Snickers sometimes.

  15. IamPriapus

It wasn’t a great game, but we had multiple chances to put the puck in the net and didn’t. 2 SHG against is an anomaly and there were some blatant missed calls, but sometimes it’s good to have a bad performance just to reset and recalibrate. Sucks that it happened against the Bruins; but on the flipside, it’s just one game after dominating for over a month and a half. Not worried in the slightest.

  16. Dylantaze

The rematch is 16 days away. I hope the boys will make this right then.

  17. Candlesnshit

Demko should’ve never apologized to Swayman, fuck the bruins forever

  18. Ok_Artichoke_2804

I like to think Canucks were being very generous to the bruins tonight, pity to bruins for losing to flames & demko not hugging swayman at all stars LOL.

Eh, anyways it’s only regular season game, we’re still making the playoffs. They better NOT play this lousy playoff time.

  19. CamaroGirl96

It’s hard especially when there’s so much hype. Two of the top teams. While I’m fine with a loss, it sucks it’s such a bad one. If we battled to the end and kept exchanging goals it would have been great.

Crazy seeing Petey benched even if it’s only for a shift.

Next game they’ll be out for blood!

  20. Apprehensive-Tea4881

We found out the hard way that lobster rolls are not a great pregame snack.

  21. manicdragon

Tocchets post game presser goes so hard. This guy is a great coach.

  22. Holyshitmuffin

Lotto bluger lines should be the only 2 not touched

  23. I knew Boston would come out hard after their last loss. Anyway we just had a 12 game point streak, it had to end eventually. Too bad it was a pretty bad one here. On to the next one

  24. ForceEconomy9988

Its amazing how my appetite for listening to Canucks podcasts goes to 0 after a loss

  25. julesieee

I guess Desmith will start the Detroit game? I honestly wouldn’t mind.

  26. kentalish

Why did Kuzy get benched for giving away puck but Petterson doesn’t?

  27. thefullpython

We were due for a stinker. Better now than in the playoffs. The complete lack of anything on the powerplay is concerning though. They better figure their shit out against these penalty kills that play tight to the point

  28. Nuxfan1404

I expect this was the last game with Mikheyev in the top 6

  29. SloJuicer

At least it’s not on home ice and didn’t cost us a cup

  30. PhoenixAurum

This game was unsettling and brought back memories of 2011. I ended up bear maced, pepper sprayed and tear gassed just coming home from work at Pacific Centre when it was Concord Security.    I’m thankful for the yellow cab driver who drove me home when I couldn’t breathe.

Even the next day I swept up glass and debris and help board up windows.

In the end, we’ll rebound and get stronger.

Im just glad this game wasn’t held in Vancouver.

  31. The Oilers vs Sharks game was more exciting than this 🙁

  32. Voltage604

    I don’t mind losing.

I mind losing like this. Our best players need to play like our best players. Our 3rd line can not be the go to solution everytime. We ignore it when we are winning but we shouldn’t. The top six needs to show some emotion and battle every shift.

  33. They’re gonna get smoked in the playoffs when the PPs aren’t being handed out like candy and they have zero muscle to push back

  34. westcoaster86

It’s the kind of loss they needed to get ready for the playoffs. It’s not the end of the world, that’s for sure. Perfect teaching game for Tocc.

  35. Guys, Canucks had a bad game. They’re still awesome. Bruins are a bunch of pickled beetroots, so fuck em. On to the next game.

  36. We will see what the next game brings, there are going to be awful games here and there. Planning the parade two days ago and planning the riot today.

  37. Left_Guidance_5766

The chance of the Canucks winning the Stanley cup went up after this loss. On a side note Petey needs to step it up and start playing, if he wants 12 mil.

  38. w0lfbrains

“Don’t You Forget About Me” is playing at the pub I’m at right now. Don’t rub it in!

  39. unbannedcoug

Tocchet showing so much poise and composure but hey lol we aren’t in the playoffs yet, we got lots of things to work on and it’s good we had this terrible loss

  40. shadownet97

Genuinely concerned about the powerplay. It’s gone from lethal to average to stagnant to bleeding goals against.

Really happy the PK stepped up to shut the Bruins PP down though. Only highlight of the game I suppose.

On the bright side, this is only the second time we got shutout this season. Three months.
