Benoit, Rielly, and McCabe are the only 3 d-man for the Leafs, that I would keep! The rest I would trade and or release. The Leafs defense is a mess, and requires big bodies with grit and toughness.

If someone took the same run at Marner i'd expect the same answer. I don't like the staged fights or a fight after a nice clean hit but protecting your smaller skilled players especially 1 of the best in the game still has to be done to deter that from happening. If someone ran Gretzky, McSorley then would let that team know that their star player was now fair game. Too many punks like Cousins taking runs and then hiding.
