They likely have to use a retention spot to get rid of Allen. It will be a real miracle if he can get it done. Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't move Savard for anything less than a 1st. They need him to mentor the young Lads. Speaking of young Lads, we can't keep them all so Harris, Struble or both should be on the block! I'd like to see one of them packaged with Alan to get more return possibly?
Jake Allen fetching any sort of return isโฆ optimistic. Heโs 33 and been an about .902 sv% since entering Montreal and getting less than half the starts. Heโs not even a โstarterโ by definition. Thatโs an expensive non starter. Why pay to move Allen when he could maybe move in the off season
Savard back to tampa makes sense depends how long Sergachev is out for.
Not sure what teams would want Allen,Pearson.

My prediction: Kovacevic or Harris will be traded at the TDL. It may be Savard. But I think it will be one of them. We'll see…

Pearson should be moved for a bag of chips before the deadline. We should keep Chubaca for another year to show the road to the young defenceman. A decision is gonna have to be made on Blackeye, Honda Covic, and Struble before July 1st. We can't keep'm all. We'll need to make space for Mailloux, Pop-corn and Hutson.

I hear Tampa might need a D right now. Savard has some good history with them. Just saying.
Have to move Jake to make a spot for Primeau. Savard is the most sought-after d man but I'd rather ship out Harris Barron or Matheson. Or all 3 tbh. When the time comes ; Primeau will have more experience if it looks like Fowler could be the #2. GHG
I think MTL has 13 games left before the trade deadline , I think MTL should give Jake Allen at least 4 starts to try and get his stats more appealing . If Mtl can trade Harris that would be great . Savard , is an awesome d-man ( the best we have in front of the net ) , Matheson is very good offensive d-man can be used well on the PP. Kovacevic is great anywhere in the D-Zone . So depending on what kind of d-man a playoff team needs MTL has one .
Harris's inexperience is going to be a tough sell ( I wouldn't want him on my team ).
How about the rumors of Trevor Zegras coming to Montreal..
Trade Allen and Primeau and make Savard the backup. Just keep a pair of goalie pads on the bench in case he has to replace Monty.

I dont think honda civic is a good move rn, we still arent sure that we have 3 right side Ds long term. If im moving someone, rn its barron, savard, matheson or struble (i wouldve said harris instead of struble but he signed an extension so i doubt hed be traded right after that)
I wouldn't give up the thought we could get a first rounder for Savvy. When teams get really desperate, anything can happen.

I think Kent needs to make a move very similar to what hes been making (Dach/Newhook) grab a young player who hasnt quite reached his potential with his draft team. Give up a Harris or a Barron packaged with Winnipeg's 1st, maybe a little more depending on the player. Hopefully we can get a nice scorer to go along with the large number of playmakers on the team

Why not just trade Slaf, Suzuki and Cole? May as well throw in Mailloux , Beck and Hudson to… Basically when does this end? When are we going to quit trading all our vets for pointless late round draft picks that will probably be duds? When are we going to go out there and get some vets for our young studs to learn from? This has to stop. It is time to work with what we have now and quit the tank nonsense. We seem to be taking one step forward and two steps back every season. Nobody gets to far like that..
Unless we get someone in return who is actually NHL worthy. I would not make any trades. Time to start making trades for players. Not draftee's who will only be available in 5 years.
He will probably trade the whole first line for the Fabio hair plugs package he's dreaming about every night.

Trading Kovacevic would be a massive mistake. He's the most consistent defenseman of the bunch, has a bare minimum contract, can even be extended at a very reasonable price, and is a pretty rare 6"5 Righty. It's Left Ds we have to trade first, not him.
