first stat glance tells me he’s Mikheyev 2.0 or bust

  2. I love scout descriptions of players:

“Big, strong, athletic kid. Holds pucks well. Strong skater. Good snap shot and wrist shot (likes the curl-and-drag). Likes to shoot it. Straight-line type. Direct. Attacks into defenders for his shot. Engaged physically. What you see is what you get”

Like, you just described like the majority of players

They need to fill some roster spots as cheaply as possible with Willy’s new AAV kicking in before Tavares’ contract is up.

I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of this… because we need cheap players.

I wouldn’t be surprised to read “Leafs looking at hockey player from Brazil. Will play for league min, for 8 years.” /jk

Does this mean that, if they wanted to, they could sign him now and he could play this season? I have no idea how this works.

Knowing our luck he’ll either be a total bust or end up playing very well then leave the following year cause we can’t retain depth

I’m going to base my entire view of Russia as a whole on whether or not this man comes over and plays well.

I’ll be reading this as Slapakov until some announcers start beating me over the head with the real way to pronounce it

Been a while since a Russian FA has hit. lya Mikheyev, Nikita Zaitsev, Igor Ozhiganov, Alex Barabanov and Kirill Semyonov.

    Surely we’re due, right?

This is a waste of time. He has no history of excelling in lower leagues. You telling me all of sudden he’s now a scoring superstar?

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out he’s on a stacked team this year. You got Poryadin, Morozov & Cajkovsky who are new additions this year with better stats than him. Even Andrei Loktionov is having a better year than last year at 33 years. Should they also sign him?

100% going to bust. Desperation for goal scorers showing.

  11. Another effective budget player like Mik would be wicked
