Drancer is still in Boston watching the Celebrini bros play so watch for that media scouting info, but I’m glad Jeff mentioned this.
Lundy with JT seems too powerful.
Suter with Petey and Mik then I guess?
It might be time to break up Petey and Mik. Send up Hogs!
Dhaliwal been mentioning for a few days that last week Tocchet said to Garland to get ready to jump into the top six and Mikheyev might go down.
I wonder if they’re going with Lindholm-Miller-Boeser or if Boeser will be with Petey and Garland with Miller
Does this mean boeser played with Petey?
If we land Kessel I hope they try this
Miller Pettersson Boeser
Hoglander Lindholm Kessel
Joshua Blueger Garland
Mikheyev Suter Lafferty
If you’re not trying new things, you are stagnating.
Petey-Miller-Boeser
Hoglander-Lindholm-Suter
I want to see:
JT Lindholm Boeser
Garland Petterson Joshua
Mikhayev Bleuger Suter
Good, see how it goes. Now is the time to experiment instead of just rolling the lotto line game in and game out
Pettersson needs to perform without 2 very specific linemates
Miller/Lindy/Boeser? That’s one hell of a two way, our version of Boston’s Perfection line. They’re hard nosed, they play good defensively, and offensively we know they can produce. Particularly Miller and Boeser. Lindy is still relatively new to the team, but in theory dude is a stud.
I really think the coaching staff should look at promoting Garland and maybe even Joshua to Petey’s line. At the very least Garland has earned a top 6 look. Garland and Suter with Petey should be fine, Suter and Garland aren’t big and Petey is a stick figure, but I think they have tenacity to make up for it. Mikheyev has been decent defensively. But offensively the dude is borderline a ghost. He should be on the 3rd line.
Mikheyev has 3 assists in his last 16 games while averaging 16 minutes a night. Even if his defensive game is good, by nature of playing on the 2nd line he should have at least triple the points. He’s not doing anything offensively and should be playing on the 3rd line. He just can’t produce anything next to Petey.
Petey constantly being glued to Mik is so frustrating. Give him someone with some finish..
Got downvoted for saying it, but our strongest forward lineup would be.
Petey Miller Boeser
Joshua Lindholm Garland
Mikheyev Suter Hoglander
PDG/Aman Blueger Lafferty

So many reasons this lineup would work. Instant top flight line with the Lotto line, guaranteed scoring. Garlands line inserting Lindholm for Blueger would be an instant boost. Garland already drives play at an elite level, and is one of our top top 6 players 5 on 5. Lindholm also played his best hockey with similar profiled players in Gaudreau and Tkachuk. Small play driving winger, and bruising winger who can finish. It makes way too much sense not to try. That line won’t lose a step by replacing Blueger with Lindholm, it would be the complete opposite. They’d also be playing against opposing teams secondary lines, as they’ll be throwing every bit of defense at the lotto line.
Mikheyev is dead weight on a scoring line, let him focus on shutting guys down. That 3rd line would thrive in a secondary matchup role, after the lotto line, and eat up other teams bottom 6 lines. Everyone slides into a better place when we don’t need to have PDG/Suter/Mik on the top scoring lines.
JPat tweeted again, looks like Suter and Lindy did switch places. Mik stays on Peteys wing.
Whether this is utilized tomorrow or it’s just for practice no one is certain yet.
I just don’t understand why we broke up the line that took us on a 14 game point streak.
