He might become the best forward this team’s had in a long long time

I don’t mind losing but I want to see that first line improve a little bit more each game

  3. Alternative-Meet6597

    That’s Juraj Slafkovsky

    SO HOT RIGHT NOW

  4. KING_SHERBROOKE

Every new goal is his best goal ever these days

  5. you CAN’T see that and tell me Slaf won’t be an awesome PPG player while still being responsible defensively.

I guess what I am saying is: League’s fucked

uz je to tu! …..gol z bufetu! ![img](emote|t5_2r10m|16352)

it’s here! …..a goal from the buffet/snack bar! (a joke he made about his olympics performance)

With the confidence clicking, you see how silky his hands are for such a big guy.

I agree if he keeps the great attitude and eagerness to grow, sky is the limit.

He’s already got the puck / board battles and seems to have learnt how to use his size well. It’s great that he’s eager to be a top player and wants to learn and grow.

KK for example didn’t have that. If KK wanted to be the best he could be he’d have been in the gym often early on to beef up etc.

Some players / humans have the desire to maximize themselves and others don’t.

I wasn’t sure how much he’d improve from his rookie to sophomore year but let’s just say I’m extremely pleased with this progression so far. He’s still 19.

    Kotkaniemi who?

  9. I am just trying to imagine the last huge guy we draft in the first round, McCarron, scoring a goal like this. And I can’t.

Love this guy silencing all the haters

What a player!!! And his mom is one of the hottest hockey moms around! He has everything going!

I was not hot on Slaf early on when he looked like a lost puppy on the ice.

Even before he started scoring he was looking better and better every game by like game 25-30. Now that hes shooting with confidence he looks solid, im pumped for him.

The last 20-25 games hes been making huge improvements.

Slafs silencing the doubters (I know this cause I was one)

  14. Comfortable-Bowl9591

People who know him best calling him “the fucking doctor”

Slaf is really scaling well. *He’s still only 19.*

SLAFKOVSKY’S ON FIRE YOUR DEFENSE IS TERRIFIED

His ceiling is still what it was in his draft year: dominant puck protector and puck battler, and dual threat playmaker/shooter. Like a poor man’s Jagr (not quite as naturally gifted as Jagr, but with a similar combination of puck protection and dual threat that is pretty rare in the NHL). I think he has the mindset and work ethic to develop consistency and get really close to his ceiling.

All this with only one LINE. Imagine having a second scoring line to worry other teams. Now with having to play against the top D pair, they still score and manage to perform.

I really thought Shane Wright was the correct choice but I am really starting to see WHO the Habs drafted at #1.

They took a big chance on Slaf and its paying off nicely.
