Islanders coach Patrick Roy comments on team’s loss to Calgary in Saturday matinee | SNY

In this Islanders postgame news conference, head coach Patrick Roy said of the 5-2 loss to Calgary: “There was not much going on the first 20 minutes I would say, I mean, is there things that I would love to see us be better at, yes.” However, the game got away from the Isles in the second period as the Flames opened up a 3-0 lead. Roy praised the team’s resilience in the third trying to mount a comeback that eventually fell short. “When you’re digging that hole, I mean it’s hard to come back.”
